That's terrible news about Edge. A torn achilles is definitely no joke. Big loss for Smackdown and the tag team division in general

Big problem for Edge with the injury. I hope he has a speedy recovery. It looks like they might actually have to vacate the titles, because there is no way heworks another match to drop them to somebody. Looks like a 4-way tag, Battle Royal, or tournament type of situation is what is gonna happen

This is further proof these guys get worked too hard. There is no reason to have house shows every weekend. Do they even make alot of money off of them afterall the fees are paid?

If they want to complete CM Punk's heel turn, have him take Edge's spot and team with Jericho.
And although Edge being out of action sucks, it will give some fresh faces a shot in the main event picture. I'm hoping to see Morrison vs Punk atSummerslam.

-Meltzer reports that WWE are most likely going to try and figure out a way to get the belts on Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase and ifyou haven't read RAW spoilers for next week, we will find out more about that on Monday. Word is that WWE is looking at footage of the Edge vs. The GreatKhali match taped on Wednesday night for next Friday's SmackDown to see if there's a spot in the match where they can claim a storyline injuryhappened.
-The word going around as to why WWEput the Unified Tag Team Titles on Edge and Chris Jericho was so Edge's in-ring involvement could belimited in tag matches. Edge had been working hurt before getting injured this past Friday night.
Punk heel turn news:
-While World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk hasn't made a full fledged heel turn yet, he played the role well at theSmackDown/ECW live event on Friday night in San Diego. Punk wrestled hometown star Rey Mysterio in the main event. Towards the end, Chris Jericho came out andinterfered. Punk ended up getting the win off a distraction and when Jericho entered the ring post-match to beat Mysterio down, Punk helped him. Punk stoppedand paused a second before helping Jericho work over Mysterio.

and it sucks about edge smackdown took a big hit right there. i wonder if they will bring hbk back early to smackdown.

believe it or not, they make more from house shows then they do from the weekly shows because less money goes into production and television time and stagecrew and all that jazz

I feel that this is the WWE's chance to bring light to the Tag Team division. THey can try to sell this injury for all its worth and create a tournamentfor the titles which would have two teams from each division facing off against each other. They could play it off as if Legacy took out Edge to provesoemthing to Randy that they are ready for the titles since they stole the show from them at the Bash. The tag temas that can compete could be:
