Miz made the IC title great. I loved the videos WWE would post every day of him putting another sticker on the belt representing another day of his reign.

I was speaking to the fact that the WWE puts no emphasis on the belt, are The New Day to be taken seriously as the greatest tag team champs when the division is basically non existent.

I am because I've long believed he's Troy Aikman 2K...really good player, but an ideal situation made him into an "all time great."
That's a whole 'nother thread tho.
I feel what you're saying, but I think in 5 or 10 years when the IC Championship is fully restored to its rightful glory, we will look back at this time as a turning point for the title and there's no way you can discredit The Miz' role in that development.

Good list here, especially since mid carder in this case means guys who started from the ground up and spent lengthy years in the IC/US/Euro/TV range before ascended to the World title ranks. If we're talking about guys that were only in the midcard ranks and never sniffed the World title picture, I can't think of anyone other than X-Pac and D'Lo Brown

When I think of all time great IC champs I think of people who not only elevated the belt, but of people who elevated themselves after carrying it..Miz isn't nowhere near that discussion..Cause after he loses the belt he goes down instead of up..

Again, Bret, Shawn, Savage, these are true all time greats and accomplished world champions. SCSA, The Rock, Warrior, HHH all held the IC Title back in the day, but they're never really known as "IC Champions."
Specifically as an INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION, you just can't take away from what Miz has contributed, especially compared to title holders of the past decade.
Do you realize we are discussing the IC title at all primarily because of him? Wasn't nobody checking for Ryback's reign.
