Wrestling Thread October 1st-31st/ No Mercy Tonight At 8PM ET/ Dolph Zigger Last Match

Man AJ is on another level right now. :smokin

The company definitely missed an opportunity with Cody Rhodes. He'd be a perfect fit on SD. :{

People can get all hyped up over Miz's little fit he threw, but in all reality it's not gonna lead anywhere for him in the long run..Dude is just what DBry said, he's a guy that wrestles like he's scared to get hit..His matches aren't boring necessarily, but they're never anything great or memorable..He's comparable to Jeans in that both are solid in the ring and on the mic, but neither have that "face of the company" quality..

I gotta agree and disagree if i can. Maybe his matches are so so because of vince maybe. I mean hes always got a shaft(see his mania match rock got the credit for that). I agree tho he as to use this and get more lethal. Use that rage in the ring. Less cocky ness more ruthlessness.

Is he really that good though? Or does he just think he deserves better because of who he is?

He's a solid worker but not world champion material imo.

Cody Rhodes missed his own opportunity by leaving when he did. He could've stayed on to the draft and seen if things would improve for him.

i feel like this could be a new gif to naomi's old theme like that kid dancing from recess or whatever show that was

This is the new jeanne clause van damme gif

His dont look at me gimmic was gold.

Ambrose has been money on the mic since becoming champ, but I think him in the ring as a face is just weird. He is a good wrestler based on his indy stuff, but it just works more as a heel. Even though he's toned his wackiness down some, he's still pretty goofy on offense.

Thankfully AJ will be taking the title off him soon.

He turned a lot of trash gimmicks to gold. He's a good worker. I feel if you could put the belt on Ambrose, Miz or Ziggler he could've gotten a run, especially with the extension. And wasn't it the company that wanted him to remain as Stardust? :rolleyes
Shinsuke Nakamura: Wrestling Has Its Own Culture
There's a interview with Shinsuke in the Sports Ilustrated, here are the cliffnotes:

 • He called Joe special and real wrestler, because he knows the real techniques of how to beat an opponent.

 • He admitted that he needs to study English more and he's planning to start watching Sesame Street every day. That being said, he remains confident in his ability to succeed in any wrestling ring across the globe, because in his opinion wrestling has its own culture.

 • Shinsuke grew up influenced by wrestlers with fierce and animated characters, his inspirations were Macho Man and Andre The Giant.

 • He quickly learned that Sami is a great wrestler and thinks they had good chemistry.

 • He'd like to have a match at WrestleMania 32. Dream Opponent? “John Cena–that’s a great choice.”

 • Shinsuke's favorite drink is red wine, although his post-match ritual has changed in NXT and he doesn't drink any alcohol after his matches in WWE.

 • He still follows NJPW. He paid close attention to Omega’s historic victory in the G1 Climax and thinks he did a good job.

 • He holds no regrets about moving from Tokyo to Orlando, except for the one involving his favorite activity – surfing. He has ten-minute walk from the beach in his house in Japan, in Orlando he's one-hour drive from the sea.

 • In his opinion, typical Japanese wrestling fans only know Japanese wrestling, but he hopes they expand their world with him since he's in WWE right now.

So ** **** had the Pipe Bomb

What are we calling Miz' promo?

My vote is for Pencil Snapped

Wonder how BK feels about being in WWE and most likely finishing up his career there

You've already pissed on the angle before it even started. So no matter what happens from this point on, you're going to say it wasn't good enough. Your mind is already made up or that's at least how you're coming across. :{

How many years do you guys think AJ has before he hangs it up?
He doesn't have crossover appeal like Rocky/Chena, so I'm guessing 5 more years at most.

I'm sure his pockets don't mind

True, I'm gonna guess he's getting paid more now in WWE than he did in NJPW?

On the SCSA podcast, he put over the company as a whole and even hinted about working backstage after retiring.

Let's be real though: his promo work has improved massively in WWE and he's been booked to look strong.
