80's WWF was by far the greatest era of wrestling IMO.
WCW in the 90's was awesome too.

Only two eras of wrestling that matter to me. Never liked DX, Rock, Austin etc.

Macho Man, Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Undertaker, Razor, Yokozuna, Big Boss Man, Debiasi, 4 Horsemen

Always preferred WCW until NWO spun off into multiple sub-factions and became too much to bare. Even after that some of my favorites from ECW like Lance Storm, Mike Awesome & EZ Money were brought in so I would check in every now and then. Always felt WCW had better in ring action also.

WCW's height in the 90's was short lived, but it was an extreme high.  This lasted from 97-98.  When the Finger Poke of Doom happened on the January 4th, 1999 Nitro, it was all over for them.  1999-2001 WCW was some of the worst pro wrestling product you ever saw.

WWF's 80's stronghold died in 92 after WrestleMania VIII.  All of the stars of that generation were on their way out.

From 93-96, WWF was a terrible product.  Things started to turn in 97 with the emergence of Stone Cold Steve Austin, but for the most part, WWF still wasn't very good.

It wasn't until 1998, WrestleMania 14 with Mike Tyson that WWF turned the corner and officially brought in the Attitude Era.  WWF dominated from 98-2001.

Then WWF bought WCW, botched the Invasion angle to an ungodly degree, and things have never been the same.
I dont really follow wrestling today but 4W's historical synopsis seems to be in line with what I remember.

I never watched WCW as a child, only WWF.  I still remember trying to attend Wrestlemania II with my cousins at the LA Coliseum (fail).  My best childhood wrestling memories were Summerslam '88 with the Mega Powers vs. Mega Bucks (Hogan was always my favorite), and WM VI? with Hogan vs. Warrior.

I didnt start watching wrestling again until high school and it was WCW/NWO.  I kinda stopped watching after it started to fall off and never really got back into it.

wwf takes it easy. the attidude era? cmon! stone cold and his fued with vince mcmahon and the rock? dx doing all their crazy stuff. wwf all the way

DC is this your list to prove WCW was better or is this your list to prove ECW was best?..

Hey I could be using that list to say both.

WCW definitely had better wrestling. WWF was dope for the storylines/characters during the late 90's, but match-wise it's hard to find ANY classics, especially from '99. WWF/E had their best wrestling from 2000-2003.

WWF Attitude Era >>>>> *

S**t might've really been too muuch for basic cable television...

You had characters such as:

- A finger-jesturing, fouled mouth maniac
- Lewd, Flamboyant and suggestive film junkies
- Pimps
- Black Supremacy
- Porn Stars
- Disturbing schizophrenics

This dude Vince McMahon gave 0 f**ks about what was going on... But it seems so genius...

WCW didn't really jump-off until the NWO Era IMO...

WWF always seemed more entertaining to me...

And like some dudes posted earlier... Hall & Nash really did damage to the business...

Wrong.

Nobody and I mean nobody was coming close to WWF in the late 80's.

But seriously, G.L.O.W. >>>>>>>

This man knows....
but WWF greater because of one man...

wcw undercard > wwf undercard

wwf main events> wcw main events

look at wcw undercard Raven, Chris Jericho , Chris Benoit, Dean Malenko , Ultimo Dragon , Eddie Guerrero, Das Wunderkind Alex Wright etc. But then in the spotlight was dbags like Nash and Hogan hogging the spotlight

wwf main events were quality but the rest of the show was unwatchable at times. Sure I love guys like D'lo brown and The Godfather but undercard storylines were wack alot of the time.

NWO was cool but it shouldnt have dragged on as long as it did.

The answer to OP's question is easy..It's ECW..Quite simply the most edgy, innovative, copied, raided, passionate and downright FUN to watch..

WCW 1996-1999 >>>> WWF. PERIOD. Classic stuff. Once Russo came into the picture is when the product went downhill.

This guy knows his wrestling. Im glad its some people who like WCW.
