XBOX 360 networkin question

sup nt, so i just recently bought a xbox 360. i have att internet connection, not the fastest but fairly decent. i dont have a router or anything, so toconnect to xbox live i simply take the ethernet wire from the computer, and plug it into the xbox. when i play halo or 2k, it trouble shoots. it cant connectme to join games with my friends. whats the problem? Is there something i need? thanks in advance.

I forget what it's called, but you might have a restriction on your network. Go do a network connection test and see if it runs perfectly fine. Usuallyit's something about NAT meaning that there's a certain type of players with the same NAT restriction that you can play with. Best bet is just to get arouter.
