xbox 360 wireless controlelr question

i just got a new 360 wireless controller from ebay. when i turn it on instead of the 4 lights blinking and then switching to one light when it syncs all 4lights just keep flashing and it wont sync. anyone know whats wrong and how to remedy it? help would be appreciated.

Did you press the button on the 360 and on the controller so that it syncs to the system?

You have to press the white button on top of the controller and the white button on the 360 so both of them can sync

Sorry to say this but it has to be a shotty controller I bought 6 from a homeys pawn shop and 2 of 'em did the same the sensor on the controller is mostlikely broken

Hit the sync button on the 360 first, then hit the sync button on the controller.
