Episode delivered.
The opening with the 1883 scenes was annoying by the time I hit the 5th commercial break and was only half way though the episode. At that point nothing had happened, the 1883 open, and every commercial break being more 1883 content, I was not feeling it. Season has some high points but, it’s feeling unlike passed Seasons that are full of things to like.

Kayce started off the season with a bang but his story just fizzled out. His kid's acting sucks. Beth, Rip and John just doing the same things every episode. Beth wildin about some **** at the dinner table, then go to a boardroom meeting, then back to wildin at the dinner table. John and Rip just observe and say as much variations of "she ain't right but I love her".

haven't watched the latest episode but this has been my feeling all season long. John Dutton says something fake deep each episode. Beth flexes on someone for no good reason. Both kids on the show story suck. I like Rip. Montages with country song playing in the back getting old. I had a feeling this season was going to be lackluster when everyone survived season 3 finale.

Was telling my wife how I thought it was actually kinda wild that no major characters have been killed off yet in this show. Usually there's at least one big death or someone getting written off in all these dramas.

They killed the one son in the first season and they never mentioned him again on the show
