About to get a home security system. AT&T is offering for $39.95 a month PLUS a $199.99 installation fee. Should I go with that or get something like this off of Ebay with NO monthly fee and the total costs the same as the AT&T installation fee? Any help is appreciated...

There definitely other options then paying the $40 a month. Your paying the $40 a month for the monitoring though and that is why you have a security system. The activation fee is weak.

Hang up the phone and do some more research on your own. I'd probably go with the AT&T deal if it were me. That eBay system looks flimsy. I'm protecting my home, I wouldn't use some cheap system to do that. I have more respect for myself and my property than that.
