-Being a 1-woman man for 3/4 of the year felt GREAT.
-Got my first job

-Made some real decent moves musically including shooting my first video, taking pics for a magazine, and rocking the stage all over the country and openingfor Plies.

i could of done better in 1 class but for my first semester, im happy.
 
congrats to everyone on their L's and W's. me on the other hand bought a house and found out that im having another little one.
 
- Was a sales leader in my region. Parent company paid for a week trip to Maui, all-in.
- Unanimously voted as one of the top ppl in my company.
- Finally got my promotion. The job was supposed to open Dec 08, but was put on ice and was thought to have been indefinitely on hold. I maintained, didn'tlet my work slip, and continued to make strides up until I went for it.
- I start my new job on 1/5 and in 09 will be taking home nearly 3X last year's salary.
- Reconnected with many great ppl from my past, thanks to Facebook. I admit to going "hermit style" for a minute, while I was rebuilding my life.
- Traveled to Hong Kong, Paris, London and all over the States in 08.
- Finally got rid of YEARS of junk I didn't need. No more clutter to start the new year.
- Got off of the streetwear tip. Still copping shoes, but moreso Adidas/stuff that I had as a child.
 
Came back to football after tearing my ACL. Played the whole season not one problem. Thank GOD! There were many instances during my therapy/rehab that Ithought I wasn't gonna ever be able to play again...

You know what so did I, but na I made some decisions that have made me a smarter man and I know how I want things to roll from now on. I to gothealth benefits on my own, as well as the job that caused it. Hmmm I bagged more girls this year than ever before. WON a car, thank you once again god. Becamecloser to my Mother. I know theres more good but cant think I'm tryna dip out this work place. Oh ya and I cant forget that I dropped a few classics on themic, need to get my studio back up, been laggin.
 
With regard to how the rest of the world has been doing lately, I'm not one to complain. However with regard to the past six months, I think I've seenbetter.

And as an accountant, may I remind you, that if you accepted the winnings, you'll have to pay taxes on the FMV of that. Sucks. Still, awesome though.
 
I won a 50 raffle through the communtiy college up the street from me, and it was an '08 Chevy HHR. What's FMV? Well it was actually 2 cars lol, mymoms traded hers in and passed the payment onto her new car. Mines paid in full and i already paid the 3 g's in taxes to my mom. Is there more taxes comin,is that what you mean?
 
Ran the LA Marathon and finished in 5 hrs and 5 mins
Got rid of my debt
Won $1000 in Vegas.

Good year. Next year will be better.

If you paid them, you're good....I believe...its been a while, but you pay a percentage on the Fair Market Value or MSRP (again, don'trecall...)....

That's pretty awesome though.
 
I got my blue belt in bjj
passed both semesters with pretty good grades
stayed healthy
 
graduated high school, lost 20lb (and counting), joined the navy (effective aug 31, hopeful changed to april)
 
I got an internship with the Department of Defense out of nearly 200 potential candidates and I have done so well that they offered me a full time position asa Navy Contract Specialist when I receive my bachelors degree. I never really saw myself working for the government, but I think that I have found my calling.

I now have a government security clearance, complete health benefits, paid leave, and a secure future after graduation. : )

damn i thought i was doing it cuz i got a job with lockheed, but whole time im only entry level. congrats. dont worry tho when i graduate with a degree in Gov.& Politics ill see if i can match you. by the way gov. jobs are always

cuz they can't be outsourced and usually don't get cut in the event of arecession.
 
^ Yeah I work directly with companies such as Lockheed, Rockwell Collins, Boeing etc. Definitely great places to work as well.

I love my job and they definitely dont seem to be showing any signs of a recession going on in the world. They sent us all home today around 11 and said HappyNew Year (we still get a full days pay).

I also like working on a base because it feels so secure and I trust everyone who works there because it is such a secure environment.

Good luck to you with your degree man! maybe we will do business one day.
 
Although I took several L's in 08, now that I think about it I've accomplished some pretty good stuff.

-Got a new car
-Got hired at a new job
-Went back to school
-Passed the semester
-Paid off some debt
-Distanced myself from people who were hurting more than they were helping my situations
-Finshed bartending school
-Got a gym membership
-Changed my eating habits for the better
-Lost about 15 lbs
-Went through plenty of stress and heart ache, which made me a way stronger and wiser person
