man, it was purported that Hodge made fun/talked thrash about Chris Paul'sgrand-father's death. who knows how close he was to his grandpa. for all you know, dude treated his grandpa like his dad.
just imagine if you was in his place and someone close to you died, and then made fun of it: "yo dude! too bad yo mamadied! she 6-feet deep like your game tonight! no way she's coming back! HA-HA!"
if it was me, i would do more than a punch on the groin on the guy who said that to me.
so this is not a point of "defending" what Paul did to hodges. if ever it was indeed true that hodges made fun of the grandpa's death, thenits a matter of provoking someone with a sensitive, below the belt remark. i'm not saying what Paul did was justifiable. its just that there are somethings which are too sensitive and below the belt to use as thrash talk materials, and it can really make people do impulsive things out of anger.
and i repeat, i'm saying this if it was indeed true that Hodges really did talk thrash about the grandpa's death. (if it wasnt the case, SMH toPaul as I've said before.)

Paul was EXTREMELY close to his grandfather. when he died at age 62, he scored 62 points in his next game to honor him.

See, I dont want to support what CP3 did. But, from what I understand, I know the crowd was talking %#$ about his grandfather's death. I dont know forsure,but it sounds like Hodge was talking about that same thing too to Chris. Being so close to someone, and the way his grandfather went (RIP), a sucker punch tothe groin is the very least I would have done. I dont support or defend Chris on this one, but I also dont have anything against it.

CP3 is a great basketball player.
