I'm Mexican, born in Mexico but have lived here over twenty years. My culture and my nation's pride is very important to me. I want to hang a Mexican flag in front of my house, but will this get frowned upon? Will I be viewed as "un-american"? I've seen people of other nationalities like Irish or English put their flags up along with  U.S. Will It be more acceptable if I hang both flags up? Your thoughts...

Do what the hell you want dude. Me personally I couldn't care less but I know there are people so ignorant to be offended by it.

Do whatever you want! Express your self and your own opinions/views. That is your right as an American, and what this country was founded on.

This is perfectly acceptable. You should honor the country of your birth and be proud to have born there. You are American, but you are also Mexican. One thing that is great about this country is that no one can tell you that you "can't" be proud of where you came from and express those feelings.

Who cares what anybody else thinks?

only un-american if you're in arizona.

plus, world cup is coming up.

gotta represent el tri

would you say:
I'm proud I have brown hair
I'm proud I'm 6 ft 2 in.

Then why would you say:
I'm proud I'm Irish

It just doesn't really make sense. you take pride in accomplishments, all of the above are things you had no control over

Now you could say:

I'm happy that I have brown hair
I'm happy that I'm 6 ft 2 in.

I'm happy that I'm Irish

do what you want you have the freedom of speech and expression in this country

Go ahead man, my thoughts are that it's gonna make your house look lame and you seem corny but an american flag would also have that same effect. I mean the neighbors are probably gonna think to them selves "$*!%%%@ #%#%" every time they pass by, but I mean it really depends on your neighborhood. If a lot of people have their flags out around there then cool, if your the only one then yeah you probably won't be invited to the block party.
