What are your thoughts

the quote is kind of confusing, because there are people with the best education money can buy and still vote republican. the same for democrats.

The quote can be proven with statistics.
IMO....the quote needs to be tweaked.

From my observation, wealthier people tend to vote Republican when it comes to economic matters. I'm not referring to celebrities in the entertainment/sports/music industry. I'm talking about people with real jobs in professional/corporate America who are working their +%*@+ off. The guys who live in million dollar homes but are barely home because their always at work.

Whether they vote along those party lines when it comes to social matters is an entirely different story.

That said, I think we all know a successful Republican or two, whowholeheartedly believe that they got to where they are simply by theirindividualistic efforts/hard work...and consequently, no one deserves ahelping hand, or as they often term it, a "freeby", especially if they(republican) have to "pay-for-it" with the money they earned via theirindividualistically attained success...

It's one thing to give a man tools so he can build a bridge for himself. It's another thing to build a bridge for the man.
I'm all for the former.

And keep in mind this is a figure or speech, so any NTer who though of a simple minded response a long the lines of "what about the disabled, etc.". My statement was not directed at those who can't. It's directed at those who won't. There are able bodied men and women in this country who are content with mediocrity and leaching. There are also people who have the drive but lack the access to opportunities.
