Your top ten movies of 2011.

Your Highness and Fast Five were probably the worst movies I saw all year.

I gotta see 50/50 and Margin Call I guess.

I need to see Attack the block
I watched a movie called Bellfower last night
indifferent.gif
 hated it

The Descendants was horrible. I went to the movies last night on a date to see it. She liked it

.Today I see it won the Golden Globe for best drama and George Clooney won best actor for it. Honestly there was nothing to this movie, I don't even know why this was a film lol. I did laugh at a few points but other then that there was barely any plot, I don't get how this movie was recognized the way it was tonight. Just realized Moneyball was nominated as well for best drama and it was so much better than descendants IMO.

How exactly was it that bad? What made it "truly suck"? The acting was great and very believable  and the story was interesting imo. I consider it more of a simulation than a movie though. One of the more unique "movies" of the year and it was surprisingly enjoyable.

Rango
Tree of Life
Sherlock Holmes 2
Young Adult
Warrior
Attack The Block
Lincoln Lawyer

Going to see Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy today. I've heard great things.

The Adjustment Bureau
Source Code
Fast Five
Limitless
X-Men First Class
Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes

I think I am going to make a thread on documentaries. I'd like to see what I missed or overlooked. Another great year for docs.

Please do. I'd be looking forward to knowing which documentaries are worth checking out.

I looked up some of the films you listed that I'm not familiar with (Hanna, Certified Copy, and Meek's Cutoff),  and they look interesting. I'll try to check them out.

Gonna start knocking those out soon/when I can.

Saw more movies this year then in recent years but don't feel like making a list.

My favorite was moneyball though.

Transformers 3 was the only one that mattered to me. Probably the best movie I've ever scene (before you guys get to crazy, I mean that in terms of how +!+#*#$ amped and excited I was before, during and after the move and even until this day!! The best movie experience I've ever had while watching that movie

)

I'm probably the only person in the world who felt that movie was PHENOMENAL!

That scene, and the highway chase scene will NEVER cease to make me smile and fill me with excitement

I watched Melancholia a week or so ago. Solid movie; slow though. Somehow it gets you to feel empathy for what has to be the most contemptible family I've seen on film in a long time. And replace HP:DH2 with that. I highly recommend T.T.S.S. too, as you could imagine.

I'm definitely looking forward to the ones you have listed too (save for Crazy, Stupid, Love). Just haven't had the time to find and watch them yet.

How was the Ides of March?
Can someone give me a description of the type of movie without spoilers? I know it's about a presidential election, but is it a thriller/drama? Suspense?
Planning on watching it when I have some time

Do NOT watch it with a girl. Movie is straight up ALL dialogue, one of the most boring movies I watched all year. I thought it was going to be awesome because of who was in it too. If you're hardcore into politics than it might be a better experience for you. But I don't know...it was just all over the place and tried too hard to be suspenseful without actually being suspenseful. The movie is only an hour and forty minutes, I waited for about an hour and 20 minutes and STILL nothing really took place so I ended up turning it off. So I can't tell you if it has a real good ending or not but I really had no clue where the movie was going anyway. Pretty huge dissapointment.
I watched Warrior last night, and I gotta thank Niketalk for recommending it. Movie was AWESOME. Definitely worthy of being one of the top 5 movies I've seen this year.

And I don't know why The Sitter gets so much hate, that %!*% was way funnier than I thought it was gonna be.
