It's just weird that a lot of these prank channels are fake. They plan outrageous stuff to do but the participants and reactions are planned out. If you want to do scripted stuff then do some sketches / skits.
There was one guy who went to find cops with the intention of getting their numbers and making out with them. He would walk up to attractive female cops, say a few words, and go in and start making out with them. What's the point of pretending it's not fake and saying it's a prank? Just say it's acting out some porno scenario. I've thought a out clapping the cheeks of fine female cops before.

It's just another form of entertainment
Magicians claim to be legit all the time.
Nobody said the laws of pranking required them to be real.
They're making these videos to make people laugh
It's like watching reality tv and asking why it's not really real. It's monetized entertainment. It can only be so real for so long before you have to start scripting it for views.

Wrestlers are real though.
They put in the years of training to be able to entertain.
As with actors.
Everyone on YouTube copies each other. There's no original content anymore.
Make YouTube a subscription and let's see if these dudes survive.

A lot of these YouTubers are actors.
These guys have contracts wth companies for YouTube sponsorships. These aren't guys and females out here doing it just hoping YouTube will send them a random check.
There's contracts and studios behind a lot of these huge YT channels.
A lot of organic content creators started out doing it as a hobby and once the money came in from views they just took it to another level. Just like any other form of entertainment. A young rapper or artist might start off on SoundCloud, and next thing you know they're on iTunes making that real money.
You have to understand the YouTube landscape and how it's set up for content consumption. You still have people doing "real" videos. Vloggers, social expirements (which can cross over to fake as well), educational, fitness, sports, gaming, etc videos.
But then you have your scripted channels. Your short films, pranks, skits, etc. It's just another avenue of entertainment.
These prank channels started off as people pranking family members and people on their college campuses. But at one point youtubers began to get attacked by people they were pranking on the streets or could be arrested. So obviously they'd stop bothering real people and script the pranks for the same comedic value and for their own safety.
YouTube even has a paid subscription service for it now. People will even pay for it.
Ima stop caping tho. I'm not a YouTube or know any youtubers. I just enjoy the videos tbh.

So what, these YouTubers spend time and effort editing their videos.
They spend their own money with supplies and gather their own team.
Like I said, it's all entertainment, no matter how much you're trying to twist it.
There's a lot more real life to it than you know.

Nah that dudes legit. Most of his vids are so basic yet ish is funny as hell.
