yuku repost problem...

are we so sure that the problem is yuku, and not operator error?

i've only had the infamous yuku double, triple, (59 times) post once, and it was because i hit "reply" and then the webpage stopped working. i hit back, and hit reply again and then came the double post.


if you press reply, and the webpage dies, refresh the thread a couple times to make sure your post didnt already go through before you retry.



if im wrong about this, well, then im an idiot and here are some nice pictures

The better alternative is to open a new tab with the general forum. If you frequent Niketalk then typing "ni" or "nik" into your url bar will have the general section in the top 3. (mine is the #1 result)

Open general in a new tab and look to see if your post has already been made.


Edit - Some people multi post on purpose. They know exactly what they're doing and they do it as a joke. Cut that %%+$ out.

It only happens when you submit something multiple times. Just be patient and submit ONCE. Copy the contents of your post to a clipboard or word processor just in case it doesn't go through, but don't try again until after you're sure it didn't go through.

People intentionally mashing the post button get banned for post flooding.

also of note -

if you use google chrome and the browser stops working after you've submitted, you can get back to the thread you were about to post in (or begin) by going to the recently closed windows on the new tab page and clicking the last thread you had open. it should restore, fully typed text intact.

you cant even view threads enjoyably.  takes a minute or more most times to even open a page. 

sometimes i'll sit and let the page load but sometimes i just give up and move on.   for me it's been like this since we switched to YUKU.   Ezboard wasn't all that great either.  I think NT has alot of traffic people dont' even realize.

Just press 'Reply' or Post or whatever it is ONCE. It will go through. Even if you get a blank white page (with the light blue Yuku favicon in the corner), it went through! Don't press 'Back' and reply again, it'll be a re-post.
