Word to "marina crowd" snowbunnies.
Was hanging out at the bar the other night and a couple of them found their way to Poleng. Not complaining.
Also we just started late night dining so y'all can get your grub on till 12:30 AM from Sun-Thurs.
^ I know you love Poleng kingcrux....
Foodwise, my favorites are:
ahi poke
fried adobo wings
sweet potato fries with a homemade banana catsup
garlic crab noodles
golden gindara (seared black cod)
bread pudding for dessert
Beveragewise, the watermelon greenbeam seems to be a favorite amongst...
no dress code. food is on point. and it real cozy.
crowd depends on the promoter of the night. if you're coming for drinks during dinner, crowd is pretty mixed.
honestly, i really don't know how to describe the crowd except it ain't the "marina" crowd if that makes any sense.
anyone thinking...
Sorry, I haven't been on NT in a minute. This Yuku thing scared me off....anyways, let me know what day (whether its the 6th or the 13th) you'replanning on going to Poleng and I'll see what I can do...
how many people in your group and what kind of food are you leaning torwards. With a $35-$40 a person budget without alcohol, there are a few options.
As for your second question, Crazy Horse, Centerfolds, or Mitchell Bros I hear are usual favorites... ;)
Uno is more or less done in the bay. I think there's still one out in Antioch.
If you want deep dish pizza, Zachary's in Berkeley and Little Star Pizza in SF is on point.
I don't know how i feel about that.
I'm all for entrepreneurship and expansion but HUF in LA and Supreme in SF is just wierd.
But I'm sure it'll happen and it'll be all right.
not sure if i'm going to make it tomorrow. i've got some other work-type event i need to attend in the PM. i might roll through after since GB is on the way home. i guess i'm looking for a group with a 5'-9" asian dude and a "GINORMOUS Richie Cunningham/Ron Howard?"
shouldn't be too hard to...
My vote is Palomino. Outdoor Dining, half off apps, beer and well drink specials.
I also vote Poleng for the next one...I might even get the first round of wings!
Palomino is the spot for Happy Hour - 4-6 - All Appetizers are half off and you can get a 3 course meal for 20 bucks!
On a real nice day, the Americano/Hotel Vitale across from Boulevard is the place for after work drinking. Problem is there are no drink specals for the cheapskates.
today won't work for me. gonna have to do it next week or so.
CL - the details of Poleng's Happy Hour (4-6 Tues-Fri): 3 dollar drafts and well drinks, $0.25 fried adobo wings. if you haven't had it, try it. it's dayum good. and at a quarter a piece, how can you go wrong?
