OFFICIAL: Nike Zoom CJ81 Trainer 2 THREAD 6/27/14 "Tuxedo" !!

Really interested in picking these up. Is the heel cushioning better than the KD V Elite? I heard those were very firm. I'm just curious since the tpu around it probably doesnt have too much give, so as long as the zoom compresses inside of the shoe (under your foot) I have a feeling they should...

Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

Probably cuz there's no heel zoom fam. It really helps me get less knee pain when I play like 3 to 4 hours. Right now I'm balling in the 28s but the also play in Zoom Soldier 6s which also have heel zoom. Both comfy ball shoes with good heel cushioning which is my preference. Even though you...

Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

Lets be real guys, casually it might be worth every penny, but for ballers it's just way too overpriced to not have heel zoom. Yeah I know heel cushioning is a preference and foam also works well but then the price should have been lowered. The price is just unacceptable for ballers that prefer...

Jordan XX8 SE vs. Jordan SuperFly II PO

I would say just go a half size down from what you get in Nikes on the 28 SEs. The 28s SEs do run a half size big lengthwise but the have a thick heel padding and inner sleeve that makes the toebox fit more snug than Superfly 2s so going down a full size might make them too tight. But you might...

I'd say the Kobe 9s are a little overpriced but they also have nice features like flynit technology and carbon fiber. I really can't justify having no heel zoom in the XX9s I always thought the flagship models had heel Zoom or full length Zoom. I guess I'll be passing on these. The Jordan...

Jordan XX8 SE vs. Jordan SuperFly II PO

If you play more on your toes I would go with the Superfly 2s, if you heel strike often, then the Jordan 28s have heel Zoom. Other than that the forefoot cushioning on both is very similar. Oh and btw if you wear an 11 in Nikes I would go a half size down since they both run a half size big...

If you want a casual shoe then buy a casual shoe. The Jordan sigs are always going to be feature the lastest tech whether it look good casually or not. And rec ballers especially those older than 21 appreciate that, since cushioning technology is all the more important as you age lol.

^trentbg If you look at the tech specs of the Jordan 28 you will see that the plate that covers the Zoom is made of pebax. Only the midfoot shank is made of carbon fiber an the little one on the lateral side. I repeat the FLIGHTPLATE system has always been made of Pebax material.

The flightplate system even the one used on the 28s have been made of Pebax Material. I've never hear of anyone with Pebax issues on football or soccer cleats, so its probably more durable than the carbon fiber used on shoes. Idk about automotive quality carbon fiber, but I bet its probably not...

TPU is BETTER imo since its just as flexible if not more flexible and doesn't crack as easy as carbon fiber. Especially the thin carbon fiber like the one used on the Lebron X Elites which has durablity issues. Also the flightplate system has ALWAYS been made of Pebax material not carbon fiber.

^maxdunker yeah and I think another reason the 28 SE are sitting is because of the durability issues of the zoom. If they are more durable then at least the price is easier to swallow I just hope there not more than $200. Especially with how thin that upper looks I hope they have some padding in...

Every jordan ever made has been about making the best court shoe possible but they also happened to make them casual friendly some more than others. Style is a personal preference.

They made the zoom with a flex groove like the Superfly 2s, so that should help with durablity alot. My Superfly 2s are still holding up great, I don't think they had the same problems as the 28s or SEs.

^Jsonmyfeetz Yeah but most shoes were made of leather back then, Jordan's just used better quality leather so it was more expensive but not an outrageous difference like it was with 28s. Like I said I would still consider the shroud to be an excessive material since it was expensive and they...

Official Air Jordan XX9 post! 1st two released 9/6/14! NO BUYING/SELLING/TRADING!

I think they just want to keep making them more expensive just because they can. In stead of charging what they are worth like the retro jordans. Well see soon enough the Jordan 28s had the shroud which added cost but I don't think it was really necessary since they could have made it out of a...
