You say you've righted your wrongs and you've been good ever since.  What will you believe...

    Then don't complain if something terrible happens to you... apparently you deserved it.  You sound like you are very close-minded, that is probably the only way you're able to hang on to such a belief.  There are some major flaws in your belief because punishing someone for something they didn't...

    I'll be out of Germany by next weekend.  Had to get that one last run on the autobahn... if I knew that particular stretch was going to be so clear I think I could have hit an indicated 200 mph.

    My R8 is already on the way back to the states... I missed out on the Green Hell!   That run in the R8 was done on Saturday when the Euro 2012 Germany vs Portugal game was going on.  I noticed the majority of Germans were somewhere watching the game so I ordered a pizza about 100 kms away...

    There's been a lot of cutbacks with DoD funding. One of the reasons I'm leaving Germany is because my current contract isn't being renewed. Yes, the autobahn is amazing. Too bad we can never have anything like it in the states.

    Lots of ways to get money, of course it's better if you can get it without having to make such extreme sacrifices.  I have a friend in DC making over 200k working for a virtual desktop company... lol leave the work at remote location for anti-social folks like myself!

    My field is relatively small, so a lot of the overseas contract positions are spread via word of mouth.  Of course we network with each other overseas so that helps... however if you do job searches on the major DoD contracting company websites you can usually find positions.  Northrop Grumman...
