Soooo, my drunk a-- tried to put on this hoody while I was still wearing my hat and bam, the top button fell off . . has this happened to anyone?
And anyone know of any tips to try and put it back on?

no, it hasn't.
someone told me that there are 2 different kinds of buttons
on "custom" new eras, they're made to come off, so you can change buttons/colors.
on "catalog" new eras, they're made to stay, so you might be out of luck if this is the case.

happened to me before. I had one of those clips that held hats, eg:
I pulled out a hat and the top button got caught on the clip and it popped out. I applied some krazy glue and placed it back onto the hat.

Damb man, iono about that Krazy glue but I just took the button, separated the three spikey things from the bottom, spread them accordingly (lined them up to the top button) then bashed it back in with a hammer.

That's interesting since lot of the Nike NFL apparel that hooks up to the BCA is still predominantly pink...

Just heard that New Era is most likely doing that Diamond Collection (Mesh material) for MLB on field hats next year.
MLB also isn't happy with New Era doing NFL hats since they're competition.
Nike is also trying to get the MLB contract to do their hats :x
Nothing is confirmed but look out for it.

I didn't mean the material (that's an option), and they are correct about producing the caps overseas, but i would be hard-pressed to see NE letting MLB go...

To be perfectly honest, if Nike could produce fitted caps at a high quality, they would have already. It says something that when Jordan Brand (a nike product) wanted to do fitted caps, they licensed the Jumpman logo to New Era. Also, Nike and New Era have started to collaborate with some of the advertising (you see the guys like Dareus, Decker, briggs, Johnson, etc.) in their Nike jerseys. If Nike were to take the license away, that collaboration would be donezo.

MLB on fields have been *** since they switched to polyester and black brims, I just buy the wool grey/green bottom retros. If they switch to mesh, that's even more corny IMO. I'll just keep buying the retros, I like them unlike alot of the posters in this thread.

speaking of grey bottoms. picked these up at the local swapmeet around my way today. last good sizes they had of these mixed in with all the black nastys.
