PS3 is getting beat so bad, will it ever catch up???

360 sales- 22 million worldwide
release- november 2005
price-299 syste alone with 60 gb hd

ps3 sales- 16 million worldwide
release- november 2006
price-399 /system alone with 80 gb hd


you do the math, 360 has one yr on the ps3 with a price drop
give those odds to sony and this thread title would be the other way around
 
Xbox 360 > PS3 easy and I have a PS3. All i do is watch movies on it.

Everyone is on live. Xbox is a year older but PS3 struggling to compete ?

It should of been better then the 360 no questions asked.
 
I only got the 360 b/c I'm not even that into games and its cheap. Everyone I know has it too, so that helps. Xbox really stepped their game up though, thefun-factor is similar to Dreamcast. Some of the buddies have the PS3 and it seems better for the real gamers.
 
I have a 360 and there is really nothing to complain about the online is great the games are good and graphics are too. but recently i wanted to get a ps3, oneof my friends have 1 and i played the demo for 2k9 (which is the only game i pretty much play) it was basically the same thing on both consoles. But i'veheard 360 has better graphics and on gamespot.com they had some comparison and the 360 looks better of the two its smoother and has better lighting..im stilldebating on the ps3, one thing about the ps3 i dont like is lack of communication online.

I really cant decide, get rid of the 360 and scoop the ps3, or stay with the good old greatness of the 360

This is why I would never buy an XBox, I can't stand the controller, very uncomfortable to me. The PS controller has always been
easier to use to me so I rock with that.

I can play 360...the button translation is pretty much the same - I'm not as 'a million adjustments' before the snap of the ball onMadden, as I'd be with a Sony controller, but I can manage. The smoothness of the analog and d-pad (

The only reason I buy games anymore is for online multiplayer with my friends.


Xbox Live is one of the greatest video game inventions ever.
It changed the way I think about video games.

And honestly, PSN doesn't really comepete with Xbox live.

How is it so much better?

I know I have never had to wait for Sony to do "maintainence", forcing me offline...

PS3 is an epic fail. Even if its full power has yet to be introduced, whats stopping Nintendo and Microsoft from releasing another system?

A lot of people are forgetting the problems with the ps3 which can be comparable to the 360 red rings. Over half of my firends who own a ps3 had to buyanother one because they all had the same problem with their system. The disk drive or lens screwed up where the system wasn't reading the disks. This is acommon problem but whats even worse about it is the cheapest ps3 you can buy in stores is about $400. Sony needs to come up with some marketing plan or juststraight out lower there prices on te system across the board to keep up sales. The ps3 has one of the best blu-rays on the market but with other blu-rayplayers decreasing in price people won't need a ps3...especially those who would only use it for its player like myself. The cheapest xbox is $200 which iswhy xbox is still in the lead. Even for those who own a %$#@ Xbox...they can most likely afford to buy a new one if it comes down to it for $200 which comeswith an extra contoller and accesories that can be used compared to buying a new ps3 for $400.

Yall aren't seeing any profits from either company

Since when did an item have to be the highest seller for you to enjoy it?

Look at the Wii, the system sells extremely well but the games are collecting dust

Other than the fact that 360 systems fail at a ridiculous rate, PS3 and 360 are exactly the same

And people are bragging because people rather be ******ed and buy another 360 over an over rather than cop a PS3, that says more about the buyer than thesystem

Plus, if the broken 360 owner has 20 games and saved files its easy to realise why they'd get another 360 instead of completely starting over

But after the 5th broken system, you'd think people would smarten up

I personally went with the PS3 because I have alotta ps2 games that I still play and I prefer the PS controller, not because popularity

anyway, i really wanted a PS3 due to the blue ray player... but there's not too many games out yet and Blue Ray movies are kinda expensive. Only game iwant really is Gran Turismo V (not the prologue)

For now, i'll continue to watch regular DVD's, and I plan to get the 360, play Forza 2 since its out... and i hear Forza 3 coming out before GT5 too.. then hopefully PS3 lowers their price once Gran Turismo V comes out, and i can cop that eventually.
 
im not going to sit here and waste time saying which system is better because nobody will ever agree... what it really comes down to is preference really...and ya i rather have a ps3 but thats just me...
 
Some of ya'll are extra lame for rooting for "your" console like you get paid to. Let that %+*+ go.
 
xbox is flashable, thus making games free, thus making it better than ps3.
