My girlfriend and I are wanting to go on vacation this year and I was hoping to get some ideas from my fellow NTers. Last year we went to Vegas, it was afirst time for both of us, we stayed kinda long but had a great time. I was thinking of Atlantic city, but was not sure what there is to do there besidesgambleing. Any ideas would be good, i've been alot of places but she has not. So thank you in advance niketalk and I hope to hear about some of yourvacations .

I went to NYC this summer, watched a yankees game before it closed down and it's the greatest city in the world

It depends on your interests/ages/ect.. I mean assuming you went to Vegas you guys are over 21. I personally think Aruba is awesome. There's a decentamount of nightlife with lots of restaurants, casinos, clubs and the beaches and water are almost second to none IMO. It's more of the pricey islands butit's def worth it.

DON'T go to Atlantic City for a vacation.

Me and my chick are going to Puerto Rico this spring.

I was thinking about going there. I still might. Tell me more.

Montreal.

Fine dining, great local food spots, great Downtown area, the BioDome, the docks, and a casino. There are a few more attractions i'd mention were thisvacation with your boys.

I was thinking about NYC but since I've never been I dont know what to do there or how long to stay and where'sa good place to stay that is somewhat close to everything. going overseas ftw. i would recommend europe, asia, or latin america, depending on your budget.

Well Aruba is very close to Venezuela. So not only does it avoid 90% of hurricanes, but the weather there is very desert-like. It's pretty dry, which forme makes the heat more bearable. There is little to no crime there because the place has like 99% employment. I was pretty young when I went, I was only 16 soI didn't get the full experience. But the beach and water were amazing. I went to a few restaurants which were amazing. I saw some outdoor clubs as I waswalking along the strip with my family at night which was pretty cool. There are casinos. Now, when I went it was jsut hotels. Supposedly a friend of mine whowent recently, she said they now even have all-inclusive resorts now too. Not sure how much truth there is in that but check it out.

I dont have a set budget, I have some money in the bank but right now i'm going to school and working full time. I get decent money and ifI try i can have quite a bit saved up by May or so. I was kinda thinking maybe doing two 4 day vactions, one around may and one around october but i dont knowfor sure yet. Last year when we went to Vegas I used all my vacation at once, so we had 11 days there. I had originally wanted to do a road trip down the coastto northern CA, and visit the Oregon coast on the way back, but then my family was all being dumb about driving and what not so I decided to fly kinda lastminute so we chose Vegas. I'm thinking maybe Hawii, San Diego, or maybe Victoria BC. Anyways thanks everyone and keep ideas coming

I love Jerz...but I gotta agree with this.
have you thought of taking a cruise?

I took one this past summer... awesome vacation...very relaxing

I would like to do a cruise but she's terrified of big bodies of water, no idea why but she says she won't do it. I told her when we were flying toVegas if she pulled some crap in the airport about being affraid to get on the plane i'd leave her there heh, it was her first time and she was nervousabout that. I might try to work on getting her to take a cruise, do you need a passport? or will the passport driver's license work for a cruise?

depends on where you're going....but most likely you will need the passport...esp if you are going to cross into international waters, eg Bahamas, Bermuda

I do suggest going on a larger ship... I went on Royal Carribean.
here's my post about it from last year http://niketalk.com/topic/106634

you gotta narrow it down - you want gambling, relaxing, beaches, skiing

theres a big range-

my #1 suggestion for chilling, clubbing, beach, hot weather type vacas is def Miami - if your tryna go oversees then theres plenty better options but I keepit continental for now

I do believe you're younger, correct?...
I liked the cruise b/c it was a "do nothing" vacation... relax, eat, chill. That's what I needed. I do suggest that you not do a cruise ifyou're the go-getter, I need to see everything and sight-see, type

OP...if you don't want to scroll through that thread...take this from it..
it's definitely not something if you want a vacation where you do a lot of things...but if you need a vacation from work where you simply relax and recharge your batteries(I desperately needed it)...a cruise is definitely for you.
