How about instead of just giving the money straight to charity, you take the money and buy alot of nice shoes...

^^ i'm pretty sure they already did. nt has been w/ ezboard for 7 yrs. i don't think ezboard would ruin niketalk like that (at least i hope not)

and the new search engine better be good. i hate having to type in a keyword and it brings up 70 million threads w/ the word in it.

What about the registration process?

Will it take about about a month to be approved a new username? And will it be difficult to actually log in? I remember it took me a month just to figure out how to log into to Niketalk, I'm pretty sure it's the most difficult thing to deal with for new users.

Thanks to Meth and all the other admins/mods , they are def. appreciated.

Google tracks the links and if they see intentional click fraud, they will close down the account and/or not give credit for the ad click. It's better to click if you're actually interested in something.

As for the fake sites showing up, it's because Google reads what's on the pages and shows up relevant ads most of the time. It's not NT's fault. So if you see fake shoe sites, you have to PM one of the mods about it so it's filtered out.

wow, I don't really know what to say. I may just prucahse ezsupporter now, so I don't see the ads.

Meth, why don't you make everyone pay $1? We have what, 50,000 members? Figure after double screennames, and people who no longer visit, there's a good 30,000 current members. That'll be good for 1 + year.

And what s is yuku? Never heard of it. I really don't wwant to go through the whole registration thing again. It literally took me 4 months to get accepted.

Well, NT, thank you for everything. Definately my favorite online community and I will be a part for years to come. Mods, administrators, you have done a GREAT job. Keep it up.

Also, if you're able send us the original thread/page where you saw the fake website ad, we can better interpret which 'key words' within the post are bringing up counterfeit websites and filter them out.

our role is to enforce the rules. HOW we enforce them is completely up to our discretion. Warnings aren't a guarantee, they're done as a courtesy. If you violate the rules purposefully, you should be prepared to be banned, period.

The plan right now for the new Yuku platform is to have a fully automated registration process that filters out banned users, email addresses, and trolls so that they can't circumvent the system. Everyone else should be automatically granted access to the board - no more waiting in line.

I think ads running down the right hand side would work well... at least, better than at the top... But whatever works best is cool.

This change had to come - i was beginning to wonder how we were still above water anyways. Sounds like things could get a lot better rather than a little worse.

the registration system will make your life (and our jobs) a bit easier...

I personally tried to register my name on the Yuku board...at the end of the procedure it will tell you that the SN is already in use on ezboard...so rest assured, your SN will be the same.

additionally -- banned SN will stay banned.

ISS doesn't have nearly the amount of traffic that NT does...not even close. No disrespect towards ISS, but NT started it all.

so everyone starts out w/ 0 posts? and i can just register this username w/ no hassle? sounds good to me. and sorry to compare us w/ ISS, but it will basically be the same registration process as them? just type in your username, e-mail addy and your password and your all set.
