Of the decades you've been alive in, how would you rate the 2000s. For me, personally, 90s > 80s > 00s.

00's > 90's. Born in '88. The 90's was an insulated period for America. 00's will be up there with the 40's and 60's as one ofthe momentous decades.

Started with 9/11/01.
Went into a winless war.
Government handled the Katrina aftermath the exact wrong way.
Fell into a depression to end it.
And thats just in America.

1) Greatest tv shows (fresh prince, simpsons (at its peak), family matters.......and many many more.
2) The internet was born, pagers --> two ways ---> CELL PHONEs!
3) Great music: tupac/biggie, the emergence of snoop, dre, easy e and many more.
4) GREAT SPORTS: MJ, Hakeen, Barkely, Malone. The hand check, fights in NBA games, no flopping... no LeBron, no crab dribbling.
5) The replacement of the BUSH with the LANDING STRIP.

1990s Appreciation Post ???
To me it seem like the odd decades (with the exception of the 60s)1970s, 1990s were monumnetal and progressive and the even decades (80s and 2000s) were aboutregression and sometimes depression, hence this current recession (no rhyming intended).

Hmm might be on to somethings.
I think it depends on your age, also. And the 90's was part of most NTers youth so of course nostalgia kicks in.

00's sucked, 90's were better. 00's had it goin for a while but after 2003 it did a nose dive and never pulled up again.

Besides Obama this decade was sub-par at best.

i say this decade is whack because there is no wave of passion that categorized decades like the 80's (disco/club/hip hop), 70's (rock n roll and thelike), and 60's (hippies, counterculture, acid) other than "teh internets", which is a place where lames who aren't smashing run rampant
