Could someone tell me exactly what a co-op is? Would I be better off working there than at niketown, when it comes down to money, as welll as recommendations and such?

A co-op is a 5-6 month internship with a company. You are treated as a full-time employee and are paid entry level money. They are very competitive, but theway to go if you want a good job coming out of college. I made over $20,000 in 5 months last summer/fall doing a co-op with a big name company. I was incharge of roughly $5million a week in ice cream sales (to give you an idea of responsibilities).

On the other hand, college makes it hard to buy Jordan's. State College is far away from every shoe spot, and I'm forced to buy everything online. Ohwell. The weather also sucks for 8 months out of the year and I don't live here during the summer. I only bring beaters to school because wearing themout to a party/bars is just stupid and as I said the weather sucks.

Yeah I feel you!! Try coming to Utah for college man... there isn't @*%! out here... We only got 6 pairs of cdp 6/17 and only 2 stores had 11/12 and hadonly 8-10 pairs each!! It sucks out here man

I use financial aid to pay for kicks...about 2 pairs a semester. A pair of kicks are only 200-300 u should have enough money.

I feel you, and it sucks now, but in the long run, they are just shoes. I'm sure when you end up with a degree and a great job you can get whateer shoe youwant.

all i gotta say is u gotaa work hard for things u want man. im 17 and i have worked for everything in my life. a new car,, cell phone and 60+ kicks in mycloset. welcome to the game of the hustle

plain and simple bro, you just gotta budget. check the release dates and save months in advance for the kicks you MUST have.

I totally agree with D Boy Fresh. I try to plan ahead. But, it's not hard to get heat because I go to Georgia State and Walters is literally right acrossthe street plus I know a guy that works there.

Where I went to school where there was no heat, so I'd save up, wire money to my mom and ask her to pick up J's and mail them to me. But due to havingto save for tuition and things like that, I missed out on some jems. For instance, I had to pass on the retro 4's in '99, both cement, and the blackred. But speaking from someone who got 3 degress believe m it will be worth it. Shoes age and you can't rock them after a few years, but you'redegree will ensure you an income for the future to keep buying new shoes as you're old ones wear out. Take it from one who knows.

What school do you go to JayWilla? I go to UNF and I can tell you that jacksonville gets most of the releases that come out. You just gotta know who is gonnaget what.

when i need it.... wich isnt going to be till the spacejams,... ill watch everything else pass me ... i gotmore important stuff to worry about right now..

If you really want heat you can grind like I do. I flip used sneakers and take that profit to buy myself lightly used jays from eBay. As a college studentthat's all I can afford, but I'm proud of my collection considering the circumstances.

yup im in college right now, but i work my %$% off. I still manage to get my J's, and thank you for scholarships.

u guys have no idea what im going thru, i live in UB, Mongolia.. there are no footlocker or niketown or dtlr here, only stores that are here are just smallsneaker stores, and ppl here r not really into jordans.. they are more into flightposites, penny's, vc shox n stuff.. so i have to order everything thruebay n then make my friend ship my shoes to mongolia..

I feel you man, its tough to put yourself through university, pay rent, books, supplies etc. and still throw together some change for kicks....i cant buy muchanymore, but the next release is thw white/red xii's so i should be able to get a job and save up enough this summer to cop

exactly what im going through. I would like to cop more online, but my bills and tuition come first. I mean I still buy kicks evey once in a whilebut my like I said the important stuff comes first. I know its not to much I can do bout it right now but stack up my paper for the relesase I have been dyingto have red/white 12's spacejams and a few others. Ima spend some money but since they come out round christmas I can pay bill and put a little to the sideever week. Is just hard to do that on every release...

I went to college in Philly... releases were very easy to get. But the ones I truly wanted, I copped off eBay

I go to college in H-town so ther r plenty of places to get kicks around here. I got a full time job so i can pay for school, bills, and kicks. sometimes, though, school and bills are more important. I'll be done after this fall though, so i can cop all the j's I missed before
