But I digress...
I DEMAND an explanation as well, track for track...

IWW is not better than Illmatic.

But you could definitely argue Off the Wall, Bad, and Dangerous > Thriller.

BTW, Off the Wall, Bad, and Dangerous > Thriller.

CROSS, edit the title to include this nacho ninja's SN so he knows to come in here (include what he claimed as well, mad heads will start coming in withthe quickness).

U sleep "bad" isnt a bad album and I personally think the "song" thriller is beyond overated and is automatically skipped. So its not aflawless album

They definitely don't rank Dangerous best either though, and Bad ain't better either.

Regardless, I want an explanation still.

I personally like BAD...

We had both records growing up, I was deffinetly listenin to BAD more than Thriller... My mom was more of a Thriller person, while me and my older bro +!**%$with BAD...

Remember the movie Moonwalker??

Off the Wall is the only one I can put above Thriller but that's just me
Same deal for me.

but yeah, Off the Wall & BAD are the only 2 that can be argued to be better than Thriller. Me personally, it all depends on my mood. I wouldn't judgeanyone's opinion for liking one over the other

, oh my lord this thread is hilarious

lol, ok cool, I won't write about It Was Written vs. Illmatic, don'tthink it's too vivid in most fan's mind to debate & I really don't care much.

Thriller vs. Bad is more about the album that exemplifies MJ the best, that's why I say Bad is his greatest.

The Bad album is the superior example of MJ at his most confident in terms of writing, singing, dancing & acting.
This is the sole album I believe MJ is truly himself voided of the shyness, the media/family pressure, this is where in his life he created & foundhimself.
The strong bass perfects his dancing, the vivid & to-the-point lyrics, cinematic videos showing MJ as a true man! Michael began recording demos for thefollow up to the Thriller album just after the end of the Victory Tour in 1984. Michael took on a massive task of writing over60 numbers for the new album and recording approximately 30. The recording of the Bad album tookplace between January 5 - July 9, 1987 (except for "Another Part of Me" which was recorded for "Captain Eo" in 1986).

Once again, Michael teamed up with Quincy Jones as producer. Michael wrote nine of the eleven tracks himself; "Bad", "The Way You Make Me Feel", "Speed Demon", "Liberian Girl", "Another Part of Me", "I Just Can't Stop Loving You", "Dirty Diana", "Smooth Criminal" and "Leave Me Alone".

I nickname MJ in the Bad era as "Gangsta Mike"
pimp.gif
, witness themusic again;
Dirty Diana - my all time fav MJ song! a song so gangsta MJ didn't want to sing it for Princess Diana, she told MJ it was her favorite, lol That's whatMJ thought about Bad, a level so different from everything else he had done.
Bad - the intensity in MJ's eyes, watch how comfortable he is in his all black gear,
The Way You Make Me Feel - dominican MJ, reminds me of any latin neighborhood when a fly girl gets harassed all day, lol, never seen Michael romancing a womanlike this, watch the Youtube vid interviewing Tatiana on how the family repressed his female relations

Man in the Mirror - tell me this song doesn't want you to be a better person, watch his performance on the 88' Grammys.
Smooth Criminal - insane from top to bottom
Liberian girl dedicated to Elizabeth Taylor. Speed Demon, Leave Me Alone, the entire album is Michael Jackson on steroids.

Thriller has more beautiful music, you can't talk bad about it no pun intended. It's impossible. Thriller is legendary, but it's still shy Mike,Mike in a shell, his voice doesn't project far enough & his dancing doesn't kick as hard as we found out it could.
