What Happened to Nike SB ???

What do you mean? SB is live and well! Mr Huxtable SBs....even Dunks inspired by the cheapest food in the supermarket! Nike SB FTW!

I had a chance to chat with some of the Nike SB riders and they are glad that Nike SB are geared more towards what skateboarders would actually wear nowinstead of feeding the frenzy of the snkrheads. Nike SB as a whole is doing just fine, it will continue its collabo, but just not as much. As far as innovationgoes, they are pumping out more shoes then ever. It is unfortunate IMO that they discontinued the FAT tongue on their Dunks, but the choices for Nikeskateboarding footwear have never been better. Nike SB is kinda caught in between in terms of satisfying their consumers. They are a Nike skateboarding brandand try to follows what skaters like & would purchase, at the same time for it to help some local skateboarding stores to stay afloat in this economy theyalso must keep pumping ol' dependable like the DUNKS in many "hyped" cw to feed the snkrheads. This is a business after all.

I am glad SBs have grown since 2003 and their directions right now will hopefully lead to bigger & better things for the sport & skateboardingcultures.

yeah in terms of models to skate Nike SB is doing well. But me being a huge dunk fan, and i skate dunks too, all these "hyped" cw's dont do it.And it seems like there's more hypebeast colors and gimmicks than not.

have to look any further than the the yearly Hypebeast picture to see how you hopped off of this shoe and moved on to Vans and then on to Supras. For the very
small percentage of people who happened to wear SB's before the sheep came through the floodgates and continue to still wear them, nothing has really
changed.

i beg to differ. At least when it comes to the dunks. Take a look at the NikeSB Archive. Since 2006 there has been FEW dunks that are clean, with nicematerials, and not all colorful and 90's hypebeast status with funky schemes and gimmicks. I think it's because Nike has been pushing out so many shoesin an effort to expand and make money. But with many companies this comes with a loss of integrity. I would say that MUCH has changed.

Nike SB will be going into zumiez this year, so for their core fans it will be "dead", however this will open a whole new page for mall kidseverywhere!

I'm tired of hearing SB has fallen off, there is no innovation or anything. What has fallen off is the HYPE, there are a bunch of clean colorways that havereleased and no one makes a big deal because right now the "in" thing to do is hate on it. Oh well it's good cause now I can pick up thosecolorways for real cheap.

Nike SB`s are not putting out any good colorways IMO.. i used to like the SB line a lot.. stopped buying after the 3rd series though.. only picked up thehawaii`s, pinstripe blazers, mork&mindy, and the blk/cement prod2`s afterwards... I DON`T SKATE, but i`ve always loved the colorways that nike sb used tobring out.. Both pairs of the Avengers were one of the ones that really caught my eye.. Love both of my pairs...

These kind of comments I don't understand, do people need it to be secretive to be "cool"? Who cares who is able to get it, if you like it getit, if you don't then don't buy it. From GRs to Tier 0 releases as long as I like them I could care less who wears them and how many where them.

I just wanna say that i think many shoe !@%$+! would much rather wear kix with blingage rather than what they personally think is nice.

He is exactly right, imo SB's havent changed much but they have lost alot of the hype. Now it seems that with out the hype SB's wont sell. Thegucci's had lines 4 blocks long a 5am but the brainwreck's which are a better looking shoe more creative and more unique got no love what so ever. Itsa shame when ppl are in line together talkin about how much they will sell the shoes they are buying for later... you are supposed to buy the shoe for your ownpersonal collection based on what you like all this hype and stuff is ruining sneaker culture.

For 2010...i'd just wish SB would start making quality kix so that even if I'd pay rape prices, I'd still get quality material in return and newcreative ideas. NIKE SB QUIT RECYCLING!

problem is when you live by da hype you also die from da exact same hype.

if they make simple colorways no one is interested because ya want a gimmick attached, but if they come out a collab and you can tell their reaching you'llsay how they "sellin out

to da hype" damned if u do damned if u don't.

they really need to just retro some of da popular renditions and then build off from da hype of those re-releases.

They fell off.... very sad to be at the factory store today and see SBs for 29.99 that I wouldnt even buy..... Creativity Please!!!

Nike Sb is doing ok but i do agree that they oughta retro some old qs even just twice a year.lol. It would also be cool we could have a say to which qs wouldbe released. that would be an awesome idea...like a voting system of some sort.

realistically most cant cop everything that they like, so it takes something specil for them ti cop a shoe in general. Thats how i nfeel at least. i only haveso much money

They started releasing too many Dunks a month. They needed to keep it spaced out to give room for better ideas, and to prevent people from getting tired ofthem. Every SB release used to sell out, now it not even close. Cut us off to create some hype and desire, then release some retros.
