**Official USMNT Soccer Thread**

Seattle was live. Atmosphere for the USMNT and the Sounders game I went to on Saturday night were great. Glad to see that it came through on TV. Not sure ESPN will put a field mic close to us again, tho... :lol:

As for what happened on the field, one of our better performances under Klinsmann. Unlucky to not get another goal, but I'll take the clean sheet. Top of the hex and poised to pull away from Mexico. :pimp:

Got back from Seattle last night, booked a flight to Columbus this morning. Can't wait.
 
I'm surprised a lot of y'all haven't heard or participated in the "USA ain't nothing to **** with chant" :lol:

I saw this a couple of months ago. I agree, this is a great doc. Since this was waayyy before I was born, my mind was blown for the fact that the Cosmos had NY on lock. This made me appreciate the Cosmos and their history. I need to cop me a Cosmos kit :pimp:

Same.  I'm trying to be all decked out in cosmos merchandise for the aug.3 opener.

On diff. topic but who do you guys think will be third and fourth to qualify overall for the world cup?

ESPN Classic showing replays of USMNT from Confed Cup 2009 today.

Currently on the final group game vs. Egypt. Spain and Brazil after this. Not sure I'll be able to watch the 2nd half of the final... :frown:
 
Just getting home now but sounds like towards the end of the first half, the game became rather lackluster from what I've read....nothing new :rolleyes
 
We didn't pull a Mexic0-0.
Got 9 points from June.

Well boys...US goin to the cup.

Somewhere deep down is telling me we'll at least make it to Ro16.  Maybe even quarter finals.

Its all bout group matchups though, still would like to see em make it past the group stage regarldess

It's funny how people (fans & writers alike but more-so fans) criticized Klinsmann earlier. It's looking like some of what people were calling missteps are turning out to be the right thing to get this team to perform.

Not sold on Omar though, but Klinsmann seems to building Omar's confidence by sticking with him.

Can't believe Mexico's current decline. :x It would be a shame if they didn't qualify to get in the QC.

God I hate Castillo

Kinda wish Johnson or Hamid would get a shot in goal, but whatev, I'm sure one of them will sub in for Rimando in the 2nd half
