He gave me hope too, until I started getting slayed. Safari walk speed/dashes are too slow for me has a pretty decent keep away game but I dont like zoning.
As far as combos, I mean they're ok its honestly hard playing Sagat

Yeah he was OP in vanilla but still you really only saw Mago rockin g with him and making it far and also Sanford Kelly but no one was seeing Mago not even Daigo but Daigo always came through and won major events.

I still think Ryu was kink in vanilla his FDC into super was OP as hell because all of it would connect and only other character it would connect for was Rufus.

I never played vanilla but after playing with most characters in edition select vanilla seems broken as hell

So glad Xian and Gen won. He's been so consistent. He definitely deserves it.

Wasn't expecting fuudo to get destroyed so easily though.

Hiro has always been nice to me, thanks for the vids up there

Thing about Hiro/Tampa Bison they need alts I know Tampa played a little Rolento but idk about hiro.

Its all most mandatory to have a counter now
Look at snake eyes with evil ryu, he just didn't capitalize
 
I don't understand the counter picking argument. If you look back at older games/tournaments, it wasn't unusual to have multiple characters. In ST, Daigo would use Ryu, OG Sagat, Guile, etc. Afrolegends would use Boxer and Dee Jay.

And the EMP used to have a strong stable with Justin, Hiro, IFC Yipes, Dieminion, Sanford, Art, Ricky Ortiz...(huh?), etc.

Next event is NorCal Regionals. Hopefully, they finally shed light on USF4 for PS4.

Honestly, it's been a few days, so I don't remember all the details. Hiro (Jaron Grayson sp) was late. Some Bracket shenigans ensued. He ended up moving to a different bracket and made it to top 8.

Controversy started with a tweet by Damdai:

Favoritism. It has no place and is unacceptable imo. CPT or not. But especially because its CPT and what's on the line.

RedBull Kumite was one of the best tournaments I've seen.

High Level play throughout.

I'm waiting for Capcom fighters to upload there videos with the english commentary but in the mean time here's my fav match.

I kind of got tired of the music, some of the theatrics but there was definitely high level comp there. The third week of the best SF players competing against each other.
 
I thought VF could be rage inducing. Ultra takes it to another level. Frustrating trying to learn this game years in.

USFIV is supposed to be on PS4 for Evo. Again, the last update was sent out in January. Supposedly, Sony is supposed to be handling the port.
