Ooo... good spot. It should be for the clay court tourneys coming up. Monte Carlo starts on the 15th, followed by Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, etc... leading up to Roland Garros at the end of May.
I know he won't be wearing those colors for those tourneys, so I guess it's just a sample.  He's not playing Davis Cup this season, so those probably would have been for those matches.

Wimbledon is at the end of June, with the Olympics at the end of July, so it's gonna be a while before we see his grass-court shoes.

Clean! Maybe Davis Cup PEs Nike sent him before he decided not to play.

Maybe someone who plays tennis can answer this for me. Why don't they make tennis shoes in mids anymore?

Hey man, I'm from the generation where they used to make Agassi in mids! It's certainly what I've been used to and what I prefer.
It's also one of the reasons why I don't have the Rafa's or Fed's.  I like the feel (and "support" if you will) of a midcut.

I guess it's cuz the players nowadays like the "freedom" of a lowcut.  Tennis shoes now have the outrigger-wedge on the lateral forefoot, thus offering the support incase you roll your ankle.

Right now, I play in Zoom Tennis Trainers, which is the retro of the Zoom Trainer 1.

These "tennis-spec" version ones came out a few years ago.  I bought 2 pairs back then and just unDS'd my 2nd pair last year.  Will need to start thinking about what I'll be wearing next.

Curious on how a pair of Nadal's or Fed's would hold up for basketball use.  The new Vapor 9's look really intriguing since I play in Kobe's in like a low profile feel.  I ask myself why not more people play in "tennis" shoes because tennis probably requires the most lateral movements.

The original Zoom Trainer 1 was just a cross-trainer, with leather on the upper/toebox. The tennis version used an XDR outsole (for durability) and a tougher toeguard (for toe-draggers). Overall, the tennis version was a much stiffer, but more durable shoe, for tennis.

You're right. A lot of the movement is similar.  In fact, tennis probably has a bit more lateral movement than hoops.  Remember, even Stockton wore the Agassi Air Zoom Challenge for a while.

If anything, tennis shoes might be a bit on the heavy side as they need the more durable rubber compounds for the outsole, while hoop shoes nowadays are getting lighter and lighter.  Hoop shoes would never last on a tennis court though in terms of durability.

Looks like Djokovic will be joining Nike... That's the top-3 players in the world with Nike!
Still just a rumor though!

New colorways.

Just got an email from NDC saying to expect shipping of the RF 287 in 4 weeks. Did anyone else get this or a different email?

as much as I love the way those lunar trainer look, they feel absolutely awful on foot from my experience. I couldn't even wear 'em around the house to try and break mine in. Got the ASG ones and they went back within a couple days. Too bad, because I like the way the shoes look- but the feel is below par.
