* Offiical NBA Off-Season Thread: I'll give one of my damn kidney's for these Melo rumors to stop *

Pat Riley should've listened to his gut on draft night. His hesitancy to draft Beasley makes sense now.

Re-sign whichever PG's already on the roster, Fish and Farmar if we can, hope that Brown stays, have our bench be Farmar, Allen, Brown, Odom, filler.

I assume Sasha would go with Bynum in a deal for Bosh if that happens.  He'll only have one year left on his deal, Bynum will have 2.

Big offseason obviously.  This thread is going to be ridiculous.
Bulls interviewing Kevin McHale?
By Mark J. Miller

The search for the Chicago Bulls' next head coach has taken on some gravity since whoever it is could be part of the lure for soon-to-be free agent LeBron James(notes).

Kevin McHale told reporters on a conference call Tuesday that he expects to be interviewed for the job, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

"We'vehad some just primary discussions and I've talked to both (Bullsgeneral manager) Gar (Forman) and (Bulls executive vice president -basketball operations John) Pax (Paxson) a little bit," McHale said."So, I mean, we'll see where it goes from there."

The 52-year-old former Boston Celtics great led the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 39-55 record in two stints as coach.

I figured Beasley would be going for cheap this off-season which is why I wanted us to hop on a deal early.

and heat fans swore up and down that riley loved beasley and it was just all BS rumors. EVERYTHING since the draft shows riley never had any love for beasley

i hope the warriors make a move for beasley, if the asking price isn't that high

Barnes is a nice player, I'm really glad he's doing well. I hope he doesn't become a Laker.

Yeah but if the Nets were to take on Beasy, thats a team full of knuckleheads with Twill, CDR, and Beasley.

that doesnt sound too entertaining.

Keyon Dooling son...

Keyon. Dooling.

How the heck do you turn down Beasley for Keyon Dooling? Money can't possibly be an issue with that new billionaire owner. SMH

See, I don't liek that we rejected that offer. Keyon is always hurt, so we could easily upgrade in that department, especially since TWill runs a lot of PG duties. As far as PF's are considered, I'd take Beasley over Yi any day. Then you have the draft, its not a gurantee how our pick turns out (if we get a PF) Im not sold on the draft still... Then with the FA class this summer, there's no gurantee who we get. I would've liked to see the Nets pull the trigger on that trade.

David Lee and the Nets might have a wink-wink thing going on where like they already know they're going to hook up in the Summer. That's really the only thing I can think of.

If any of ya'll actually believe that nonsense Beasley for Dooling 'rumor'...

Rod Thorn would take Beasley on his rookie scale deal (for pratically free) so fast, it wouldn't even be funny.

^ I've heard a few times already since the Heat's season's been over that they're willing to give Beasley up to just get cap relief because they're going after 2-3 top flight FAs this Summer.

what makes beasley so much better then Yi? plus for the future i would take favors over Beasley

I'm well aware that such could happen, should Miami go all in and try for three max free agents.

BUT..... Miami(Riley) is going to get ATLEAST some some future considerations, be it a protected draft pick later on, or something for Beasley. He won't just be dumped for nothing at all(like the aforementioned).

Some rumors are that Turner could fall to 3 though Mike... so they could have PG- Harris, SG- Turner, SF- T-Will, PF- Beasley/Yi, C- B.Lopez. If Turner doesn't fall, then yeah getting Favors would be ideal but there's nothing wrong with stockpiling talent especially when it's for Keyon !%$$*%% Dooling.

Like I said, David Lee could already have a wink wink agreement with the Nets, so all this might be moot.
Deal in works for Kroenke to buy NFL's Rams; sell Nuggets, Avalanche
The National Football League appears to be moving toward approving sports magnate Stan Kroenke as the next owner of the St. Louis Rams and allowing him a grace period to sell basketball's Denver Nuggets and hockey's Colorado Avalanche, sources say, despite the league’s prohibition against owners controlling teams in other NFL markets.

To whom Kroenke would sell the Denver teams is unclear, the sources said, and the NFL has not yet signed off on whether the clubs could transfer to his family members.

The league has rejected the idea of letting his wife buy the Rams, but NFL owners made it clear they do want Kroenke as the Rams' majority owner.

but u keep posting that the heat could give beasley away so they can get 3 superstars?....

Mike - I've brought it up as a potential or 'could happen' scenario, but it's not something I'd personally like to see it happen.
