🦉The Official Drake Thread6️⃣ - Scary Hours 3 11.17.23

I know for a fact that they do. Y'all really that naive to think Drake is the only one practicing this, that's crazy

Y'all keep bringing up reference tracks which is crazy too. Reference tracks without context could mean a myriad of things, but again if you don't know how reference tracks work then I don't know what to tell you

It is what it is at this point.
You also "knew for a fact" that Drake wrote 100% of his raps.

SMH ... They is him? Ok .. Moving on.

BTW you do know there are two members of Dead Pre z .. Him and Stic ... And Stic is the one that has been linked to writing for NAS. Ok
Come on, Fam...

Who doesn't know Dead Prez isn't a group. Reachin

I'll leave this here..

Moving on ...

Question:  If someone edit a book and helps brainstorm, does that mean they wrote the book?  Although they help edit the book, you will still give them credit?

What's the difference in songs?  You give me chorus/hook/bridge, suggest, or even edit my song...Does that make you the writer?

IMO, if you suggest, edit, etc...I'm going to give you credit...But that doesn't make you the writer of the song. Period.

All of this, and I have yet to hear Drake's new album...

Is it good?  Nobody in my circle has said anything about it.

Worth the download?

This. I guess he thinks people forgot that.

And if all these rappers have teams of writers like Drake does _'s woulda BEEN getting exposed for it. Dudes in the 90's used to get called out if they thought you was using somebody else's flow. Jay got called out just for using a few Big lines as a shout out.

Man stop quoting me about Drake

I'm talking in general. Music as a whole.
if you talking in general the majority of Major artist have purchased songs ... Facts ... Is only taboo in rap hip hop but clearly drake is neither ...

You have dumb as Flex stressing this about Drake but in the same breath talks about 80% of Drakes fans wear heels or Flip Flops so again who the duck cares man ..

Got that receipt pimp. Ain't take as long as I thought.
That?

I legit thought it was something else, or more than that.

I took that as him saying Drake doesn't write his raps, which I can still confirm to not be true. I misinterpreted what he said / meant, but I still stand by that. I know for a fact he does write his raps.

From my vantage point, it seemed like he was insinuating that he was diddy or something with the raps, and again, I know for a fact for that not to be true.

nah ***** ain't no misinterpreting. that 100% wasn't typed in black font. you said you can confirm the exact opposite. exact opposite meaning = he doesn't write 100% of his raps. you jumped out there and got caught. own it.

Its already confirmed that Nas had dudes writing for him. You continue to ignore that

Well she for sure was taking a shot at Iggy because Iggy doesn't write her own stuff half of the time at least. I know for a fact that Skeme has written quite a few records for her in her career thus far. Tip has done the same.

And i've never spoken with Drake directly about him writing his own records but I've had conversations with people who've been around him when writing a record and they told me it's a pretty exclusive ordeal, him writing his music. The extent of help he gets may be when he reads a rap to someone, or they play the record back to someone(s), and they tell him to adjust a line, or change a few bars, things like that.

They just change a few words?

I mean, alright, I "own it?"

But it still don't change the fact that when I said I can confirm the exact opposite, all I meant was that Drake writes his raps. That's all. And that's true, true as ****. But believe what you want

C'mon man. :smh:

He said Drake doesn't write all his music.

You said you know 100% the opposite.

We all are wrong every now and then.
