What is good with T-Mobile paying cancellation fees. I am looking to get on a carrier that accepts unlocked devices.

I gotta thank this thread for putting me on MKHBD, dude vids are probably among thee best on YouTube, great quality, great reviews, no fanboy, just straight to the point and unbias. I subbed after watching one video, now I watch everyone he throws up immediately.

Verizon peeps looking to upgrade, you might want to pull the trigger before Aug 24 unless you can find another workaround to keep your UDP.

http://www.droid-life.com/2014/08/1...upgrade-workaround-at-verizon-come-august-24/

Notable quote if you don't want to read the whole article.

So here is what’s changing.

Starting August 24, Verizon will require customers who upgrade or activate a new smartphone to have a data package for the length of their contract.
This applies to any customer with a “legacy plan” and who has purchased a smartphone with a 2-year agreement.
See what’s happening there? Instead of being able to upgrade a feature phone line to a smartphone, and performing the data package cancellation to drop the line back to $9.99 per month, customers will be forced into keeping a minimum $30 2GB plan attached to the line that is using the upgrade.

In order to avoid this new requirement, Verizon will offer two options:

Customers can switch to MORE Everything plans or;
Purchase or provide a non-contracted smartphone (Verizon Edge, full retail, etc.)

On the real, I don't really game on my phone  .. how the hell do people play FPS on their phone?

I play most of the real popular games, CoC, Vector, Dots, and Plague.

Let the leaks begin:

Is this the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?

joint looks pretty wide though, can't wait to see how the dimensions stack up against other phones in the same size range.

Yeah, but it may have that G3 feel to it. I see how thin the bezels are. I went from a Note 2 to the G3, and the Note 2 is noticeably larger even though the screens are the same size.

LG just does a good job fitting a big screen in a small body.. The g3 feels nothing like a 5.5.. The note 2/3 feel massive in comparison but the 2 has the same screen size and the 3 is barely .2 bigger. The OPO is note size as well.. Gonna have to get used to that again, my package is here today..my hands are ready

glad you got it man. Now help some other NTers out. You'll get three invites.

My wife better answer the door and sign for the package when they come, lol. She at home with the newborn though, so I can't get too mad if she can't get to the door in time.....

So I haven't visited this thread in awhile...I'm up for a new phone in a few weeks. Thoughts on the M8? I'm thinking about getting the GPE, but I'm not sure.

I've heard mostly good things about the M8..Don't think you'll be disappointed with it at all, and from what I've heard, Sense 6 is optimized too good on it and you'll probably have a better experience with the regular version over the GPE. If you want the google experience you're probably better off just copping the N5 or wait for the N6.. but that's just my 2c.

And Lobo thanks to your invite I was luckily able to cop.. and I'll gladly pass around invites(when I can) to any NTers looking to try the OPO. Since it's USPS I don't think I have to leave work early today. I normally get my mail at 5ish everyday.. if for some reason they try to drop it off earlier then I'll miss it

but they should leave a note on my door and I can pick it up at the postal spot down the street from my house before they close.

M8 is my favorite phone I've owned. Sure the camera isn't up to par, but that all depends on what matters to you. Saves battery when it needs to and is a Porsche 911 Turbo when it needs to be. Love the size of the screen and ergonomics. I'd recommend getting a drand skin as well for the back as it is a slippery phone. No complaints though.

Coming from a nexus 5 I like my m8

Its fast and nice looking, It is a little tall though. I thought I'd hate sense but it isn't bad at all. I did install the Google now launcher because it looks 100x better than the sense launcher.

Camera imo sucks and the phone scratch he's and dings very easy. I've been sitting home rehabbing a broken ankle for the past month and the phone is starting to look beat up, I haven't dropped it once
