Finally got to try on the Fortis and WOW!!!!!!! Loved the feel of them. They can't be compared to the apollo because the apollo is more of a bare foot running shoe but man the fortis is amazing. Love the cushioning and the heel cup. Now i am just waiting to try on the Asics Quantum 360 to see which of these shoes I want to buy right now to run in and which I am going to wait till it is on discount lol

My guess is that those couple of images that show more clutchfit material and no 'Charged' logo are early catalog images or something.  Seems like more of the images we've seen, including in hand ones had the design with less clutchfit.  Just my guess...

So the fortis is not barefoot like?

I thought the fortis like the apollo but more support.
 
The fortis does look a bit thicker at the midsole compared to the apollo.. But I'm hoping there's a barefoot-life feel it it
 
Has anyone by chance tried on the Speedform Phenom Trainers?

Haven't had a chance to get to a brand house yet.  Really curious though

Anyone have any info about the Clutchfit Drive 2 Lows? I chatted with a UA person and they mentioned "maybe August" but taking that with a grain of salt.

Looks like the previous Mudiay PE's and E24 colorways released around November-February '14, and the basic colorways around August '14? Think we can expect a similar timeframe for the Drive 2 Lows?

I have no idea about shoe release cycles besides all-star colorways are release around all-star weekend (duh). I'd appreciate any info. Thanks!

what happened to the clutchfit 1 drive lows? Thought the basic team colors were dropping around now.

@FlashSole  someone on the SC forums picked up the phenom protos and is raving about them.  I'm very tempted... with coupon through FTL they'll be about $80 shipped which is not bad at all.  I just feel like they'll see a price drop at some point... what do you think?  Might need to just bite the bullet haha
 
Brother saw these colors at Marshall's in Pasadena, CA. Extremely scattered sizes apparently. I'm very sorry but my schedule's tight over the next couple weeks and I can't pickup for anyone. Just letting you all know what's out there.

thanks for the heads up. i'll start looking for them at Marshall's around here. i've only seen "white" around Boston

Go for it haha. Going to probably get the mids and lows next week. Can't wait any longer. If they had charged cushioning, I'd have them all by now. Phenom + Fortis = Curry 2. Can't wait haha. 
 
I just picked up a pair of Black Anatomix Spawn 2 mids for $20 at a Marshalls. Kind of ugly in my opinion but look solid for outdoor basketball.
 
Which Marshall's did you find those Black Anatomix Spawns 2's at, I've seen Pink Clutch Fit Drives and Glow In The Darks Spawns 2 around San Jose.

This was Marshalls in Mountain view. They had random color spawns all over the size range. They did some nice black and red spawn lows in size 11 for $40 that I passed on, and a bunch of green ones.
 
^^ i actually just watched the video earlier. Theres many reviews on the apollo already but haven't found any on the fortis yet. Just looking for a few more opinions but most likely going with the apollo.

With Curry's success, it seems everything else is secondary which is good and bad. Mudiay PEs should drop around the start of the NBA season and different colorways for big games that MD, Notre Dame play... Not sure about regular lows yet. Most likely early next year.

Barefoot feel, definitely Apollos. Regular or Vent. You can find them for pretty cheap which is nice because they're great shoes.

In my opinion, The Fortis is the best shoe UA has out right now (Fat Tire is 1b). I'd say the best of all brands, but haven't tried the top runners from Nike, Adidas and others. The cushioning and comfort on the Fortis is unmatched. 

You won't regret buying either.
