Official Nike Air Max Penny 1 Updated - 2022 Retro Coming!

I laugh because the comment about shoes hitting outlets is as dated as expired milk.
Outlet prices are like $10-15 off of retail these days and they don't like doing phone orders. Your better bet is getting them from a retail chain for the low. A lot of us got ours for $100 on release date.

I agree. I figure if I can get them for well below retail on RD or shortly after, that's a win, plus I don't have to wait a while for them to hit the outlets. At some point you gotta just take what discounts you can get and be happy with that instead of taking a chance on outlets.

Gotcha.

I'm a Ravens fan, but I actually like those DB Penny's. I just hope that they still look good in person too, as we all know how Nike can drop the ball from these pics to the actual product. (I.e. Area 72 Air Force Max's)

If there will ever be a DB XI, the effect an frenzy of Galaxy Foam release will be mulitplied by a mere 1000 times minimum LOL!

DB Jordan XI, Yeezy colorway, Galaxy print icy sole with Supreme laces.

WORLD EXPLODES.

How were you able to get them for $100? Swoosh discount?

Don't believe they were available on swoosh

Never mind.

It's all in this thread. Just read back to the posts around the release day. That will be more helpful.

WHOA, what are these?  I know the top ones are the DB ones, I am torn on some of the details, but I like the 3M look on it.  Are these going to be a 3 pair collection, because these two are certainly better than the top pair.  I would probably rate them as the black ones being the best, red second, and the gray last.

hmm they have a clear sole?.... now i didnt know that.. i may try to get them now because of ice..

it has a 3m coating on the upper a well but either way I'm hoping ill be lucky to cop a pair
True, but the red version and black versions just pop.  For a 49ers fan you would think the should would be black or red based as opposed to gray.  I could even see a gold based shoe, starting to get the feeling Nike is 100% behind the shoe choice, and color.  The kid only has minor say in the shoe, perhaps the art that is on the shoe.  However Nike still has final say on the color.

That PS of the third pair that's black and silver...maaaaaaan, if only those released.

Yeah I feel you on that but the kid and the designer did a nice enough job on the shoe. And this way it's better because I won't be so pressed to look at the resale market if I strike out

So I tried out the Penny I on court for about 2 hours and the first thing that surprised me:

my pinky did not hurt! I went true to size and the shoe also felt comfortable and it felt actually pretty light!

So all in all I am very surprised! I think Nike did a good job, the shorter tongue also was not a big problem, I had to pull it up about 2-3 times, but ones the laces are tied tight, it does not really move anymore!

All in all I am a happy man right now!

Yeah, after wearing them a few times, they are very comfortable! Only thing i would say is, they are quite wide for my feet, but I don't plan on playing basketball, so they fit is fine with me. I think the quality is pretty good for what nike normally brings out.

I really like the design of the Penny Is the kid did a great job!

I can understand that not everybody is a 49ers fan and that it leads to a lot of dicsussions, but just for the cause and respecting the kid, it should not be a big discussion!

The main focus on that shoe should be that very nice main color anyways!

As for the labor conditions in China, the employees are the kings over there, they have all kinds of rights, the owners of factories do not, overtime must be paid 200% and if it is on a sunday it is 300%, in comparison to the 90s they make about 1000% more salary in comparison to today, with a guaranteed raise by the federal government of 20% per year. They get living and 3 meals a day for free, plus social activities such as Basketball, excursions etc.

So for companies with labor intensive goods, prices are rising and rising and rising. Why do you all think the foams have risen from 180 to 230-250 in just 4 years, an increase up to 39%? Because this shoe has heavy labor amounts involved.

I can understand that many people here have different opinions about that matter, but I guess it makes most sense to acutally go and visit the country that you are talking about and not just pinpointing an opinion, because TV or the Internet is your source. This is not the real World, believe me, I travel the real China economic production world 2-3 months annually and every time things happen, which I would never think were possible!
So you would work in one of these factories then?
