It seems NT is full of people like you who don't take time to read and I'm not throwing shots, but dude, step down off the horse.
Lazy? I spent 8 hours last night lifting heavy !#$ boxes at a grocery store after going to class and hitting the gym for 2 hours. My day began with a 4:30 wake up by my 2 yo daughter, getting both of my kids ready for school and making them breakfast. I didn't get home until about 11 last night.

Ain't nobody lazy, the jobs ain't there. Best believe I applied to gas stations, 7-11 and all that and I'm waaay overqualified for those positions.

Most of those places are afraid to hire people like me though. They want someone who is unskilled and will put up with a lot of bs without asking questions. Not to mention the pay cut I took.

My pay history was a big issue in getting hired for a retail job.

They thought I wouldn't work for what I'm making now and I didn't want to but I had to. Stop assuming so damn much and no I'm not mad, but cats

like you who haven't stepped in the shoes of people like me are so damn quick to judge when you probably

have no experience to base your judgements on.
This.

The last thing I wanna do is be on friggin unemployment. I barely have spending money for even groceries because most of my unemployment  $$$ goes towards my monthly rent and other bills. There isn't a job out here that I haven't applied to. Can't stand dudes that spit ignorance like nine point five.

I am hiring for a programmer and graphic designer. Offering to pay $12 and $9, respectively. I was overwhelmed with responses. This is in SoCal. My ad is still up on Craigslist, and I am thinking of taking it down because of all the responses. I have not come across one resume that is not qualified. Pretty shocking.

In class , but I got back from my interview not too long ago. I'm 98% positive I got the job. Dude called me into the office and in so many words told me that he just needed to call me references and they'll call me back by monday. Hint for those still looking: hit up the spots that are hiring for seasonal. A lot of them grade your performance and keep you after the holiday season

It all depends on location. There are plenty of bartenders that don't make anything off of their tips. If you can get a gig at a bar on a college campus or near one, you're good.

Peace to all yall on the grind....
This is a passing phase. When my real plan comes together I'll be sitting on millions, but it takes time to work big plans out. When plan one is concrete, plan 2 is going to make me a billionaire.

Save this post and remember I said it in 15 years.

I WAS LUCKY ENOUGH TO GRAB AN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING JOB GRADUATING FROM COLLEGE IN 2008 BUT I WAS LAID OFF FROM THAT JOB IN 2009 AND IT TOOK ME UNTIL APRIL OF THIS YEAR TO LAND ANOTHER JOB. IF I SAID, I PUT IN LESS THAN 300 APPS IN THAT TIME I WOULD BE LYING. JOB HUNTING BECAME MY JOB AND I WAS ON IT FOR 10 HOURS A DAY. LUCKILY, I LANDED ANOTHER ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING JOB HERE IN CLEVELAND. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT FINDING A GOOD JOB OUT OF COLLEGE I SUGGEST YOU EXPAND YOUR SEARCH TO NATIONWIDE. A LOT OF MY COLLEGE FRIENDS STILL HAVEN'T FOUND JOBS BUT THEY ARE KEEPING THEIR SEARCH TOO LOCAL...YOU GOTTA BE WILLING TO MOVE AND ACCEPT ANYTHING.

GOODLUCK TO ALL THOSE SEARCHING. IT DEFINITELY IS TOUGH.

It's rough. I've been working odd jobs just trying to keep my head above water.

One of the things I miss from growing up in a small farming town is there was ALWAYS a job at one of the cranberry marshes. The marsh owners were millionaires and always hired people that were hurting for work to do jobs like sorting cranberries and would literally let anybody that was struggling come in and would pay them a lot more than they had to and work any hours they could. Now I can't even get an interview for a job I could have done 10 years ago
