If you say so, but I distinctly remember kanye doing the LV collab right after pharrell did it. He did his thing with polo when he was still claiming backpacker, but when he switched to streetwear he was wearing whatever the neptunes had on.

Yes, absolutely. I've been reading / checking NT for info since the days when SBs dominated the board (at least seemed to),  Supas and Mulders were my grails and KTown was a regular poster.  In no way, shape or form was I insinuating that Kanye inspires anyone on NT to wear Jordans.

However, I was agreeing that Kanye's rise to popularity coincided with - and probably increased - overall awareness around retros amongst the general public. I was also posting a picture of a celebrity wearing "heat", which commentary aside, I was under the impression was one of the purposes of this thread. I understand the inclination to check a newb and that this thread in particular is one where folks like to argue, so that's on me for making an overly general statement.

Lets be honest, in the high fashion industry and market, who would really buy Kanye West's clothing (on a high end sense)?  Majority of the buyers that buy these clothes are white....and those same people most likely are the same majority that "hates" Kanye.
