NT, What Beer Do You Drink?

When I'm on my beer tip, it's Spaten (German) all year round, during the fall I switch to Blue Moon's Pumpkin Ale. But when I'm feeling something harder, it's Grand Marnier (...almost spilled my 'gnac on this $200 suit) or Makers.

Really good. Got caramel, banana, and fruits. Also like some sugar sweetness. Just a bit boozy though but really good overall.

Also good. Got some lemony notes and spice. Well balanced.

Any sour guys ever try these? Rumor has it they are fantastic, haven't actually opened them yet.

Got this beer making kit for Christmas.

this is gonna sound like a jerk comment. but i hope you saved the receipt.
those Mr. Beer kits are cool if you want to make a batch of something just to say you made beer. you are much better off saving your money and hitting up a homebrew store. a kit will run you about $100 and it is equipment you'll use over and over.

been checking out this thread for a while but never posted, got a decent stash at the moment so i figure I you guys might be interested in seeing whats available in nyc, my low quality phone takes low quality photos though...
Right to left

-BCBS - decent stout, didnt live up to expectation, 20$ for a 4 pack
-Worldwide Stout - my favorite stout, never let me down yet
-Mad River Double Dread - got a 4 pack for less than 5 dollars

I went to a brick & mortar store and bought this kit Amazon product ASIN B006J336US, a brew kettle for $50, and an ingredient kit for $50. An picked through some returned bottles for all brown and the guy sold me 2 cases of those for a couple bucks. Got some sweet old school Budweiser bottle boxes with them. Doing an ESB for my first beer.

Gonna get into this when I have a free weekend. Any suggestions on things to read first?

That FW Anni is sitting on shelves everywhere except in L.A.
I've called or been to 7 stores. Sold out. A Total Wine, 2 Bevmo's and 4 shops.

Can we stop for a moment and talk about how Lagunitas discontinuing 6-packs of Sucks was the worst decision ever made in beer history?

I remember my first six pack purchases. I think I posted them on here. Bought at least a case lol ($9-$10 a sixer was a steal). Sadly it just never really sold well and it was always a old bottle date after its initial release. I think I saw six packs this summer at a place (very old bottles). Now it sits near the 40s at places and sits even longer. Or it doesnt get the shelf space because of its size.. I agree, very bad decision. On a abv to price front, it really sucks. What's sad is, there is a stable lineup of Lagunitas that I do have available almost everywhere. It's too bad they couldnt switch out one of those out. I see anywhere from 4 to 5 six pack set up at most places. Most out of any brand it would see.. Pale Ale, IPA, daytime IPA, and sometimes a pils, little sumpin or a seasonal such as brown shugga

Freshest I've seen has been 251 julian (september 8th) and that's not even at everyplace. Even if its not a year rounder, places seem hesitant to offer it. Maybe I'll pick an older bottle up for old times sake
