Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I'll let you know after I see it. It never really was high on my list of must see summer movies. I still remember '98. Only thing that has me interested is Cranston. On some if he's in a movie or show there's a good chance I watch no questions asked.

That's the thing, I LOATHE 98.

From the first preview, I felt the tone was right, eerie, mysterious, but 98 kept naggin me cuz that preview was solid too.

This puts that to rest. It stays laned the entire time. It has a "real" vibe to it. Surely it has tiny holes and what not, but it is far better than Pac Rim was, people just like the idea of monster v robot is all.

I'll be seeing Godzilla on Sunday most likely.

Snuck out to see Amazing Spiderman 2 the other day. Posted my thoughts in the thread... but overall I liked it. It should have been better and easily could have been better with a tighter focus and improved screenplay/structure.. but it did a lot right. I'm a bit disappointed overall because I wanted it to be GREAT and it was merely good.

I absolutely loved Pacific Rim, but I've been looking forward to Godzilla since it has been teased.

Less than 12 hours till I see it. We'll see. :nerd:

Godzilla was awesome

I liked how most of it was tied to a character's POV at all times. Kept it from feeling like a generic summer movie.

man, what the hell is wrong with me.....

First, I decided to watch That Awkard Moment.

Second, I actually found myself kind of enjoying it.

I mean, by no means is it a good movie; but I kinda actually liked it.

It was basically a short film, with a nice little sweet message.

And the device used in the film was actually pretty nifty, I'm a sucker for that time of schtick.

Nevermind that I think Lucy Liu is one of the most beautiful women on the planet....

I know the show can be very network TV (in that mysteries are solved within a hour), but I've been watching CBS's Elementary from jump. The season finale was great. It was well written & great performances from Johnny Lee Miller, Liu, & Rhys Ifans... I like how they weave Sherlock being an ex addict & how he copes with his addiction...

Huge fan of Elementary. I'm a episodic show type of dude, so the format of solving everything in an hour is right up my ally. Lucy Liu is beautiful and Jonny Lee Miller does a really good job, big fan of his quirks.

Damn Breaking bad got me looking up all type of chemistry terms on the public work computer...hopefully no one figures it out.

googles "how long will it take to dissolve a dead body in hydrofloric acid"

I think I gotta one of the few to not care about Breaking Bad. Watched the whole series as it was on. Some episodes are great but there were a lot that bored me or left me expecting more.

I feel this way about Sopranos and people look at me like I'm crazy.

First heard about Godzilla: :"Man, what? :smh: Why?"

Read CP's review giving it a 14 on a scale of 1-8*: "Riiiiiiiiight. :rolleyes Whatever."

Walking out of the movie last night after it was over: "YOOOOO! :wow: :smokin Again!"

*rck :smh:

I didn't think Prisoners was a great movie as people are saying. Was just a good movie to watch that kept my attention.

Yea I thought I was the only one. Maybe I'm a bad guy but I just didn't care that much about the little girls being lost. Didn't know that much about them.

with the 3 male leads they had a chance for a solid fun flick but it was botched by such a bad script

Yeah same I felt. O boy was going too hard with no hard evidence.

You mean except for the part about the kid admitting to him that they were happy when he was there with them?????

Your daughter is kidnapped, and someone says something like that to you, and you just let him go, that's it?

Yeah, sure.

That kid had it LITE. My daughter goes missing, and some freak tells me she was ok when he was there, but he tells the cops he knows nothing, trust me, here and now, he's not getting just a shower. Not even close. He'd have it WAY worse than what that kid got.

Too hard with no evidence.

Ugh I really wanted to see Godzilla but my girl had to go out of town for the weekend and made me promise id wait to see it with her next week :rolleyes
