Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

How ******* long is this runway in Fast 6? I swear the plane's been gaining speed for like 15 minutes now.

I totally forgot about this thread :wow:

I don't know where to fall on BBT. I really liked it when it started, then somewhere in the 2nd season it just got real generic and repetitive (or maybe it was always like that and it just finally hit me) and I never really enjoyed it again. Like, I like the characters, but it feels like the show is permanently on autopilot.

But it's live and let live. I get what people see in it, and if it's your thing, it's well made and consistent. I'd just never go outta my way to watch it again.

I felt the opposite about it. I hated the first two seasons and generic ways they portrayed the main four. But Season 3 made me come back. The Penny/Leonard thing, introducing Howard's girl and then eventually Sheldon's girl hooked me. Now, I'm pissed if I miss an ep

Ten seasons is gonna be way too long though.

FnF slander:
Watched the last 30 minutes of the movie and it sucked. The 28 mile runway was too much. The writers and Lin should have went all the way and had that airplane take off. I mean, this is just over the top action movies now, right? Why not have Vin and Rock throwing punches a mile up? The danger didn't seem as daunting when they're still grounded; not that you'd survive getting thrown out of a plane at 100+ mph, but falling a mile out of the sky is more intense. It doesn't matter how they all would have survived getting out of the plane either, Vin drove a car out the FRONT of a flame-engulfed airplane in the process of exploding and rolling. Finding a few parachutes wouldn't be nearly as outlandish. Not interested in the rest of the movie after seeing the parts I did watch.

I did like the Jason Statham cameo at the end 8) Nice job tying everything together neatly.

The "explanation" is all the diff scenes are happening at the same time, but showing it film wise, of course takes much longer.

So when Dom and Brian are on plane fighting, is same time as Han and Gisele fighting down below, etc.

I caught a few eps here and there over the years and I keep hearing it got so good.
But it just always seemed like the same 10 jokes over and over again, even with Blossom there.

And the nail in the coffin for me was when they moved it to the same time as Community. :smh:

Seinfeld is funny but Kramer is easily the most overrated characters of all time IMO.

George and Elaine tho.

My favorite all time is Martin. :pimp:

Couldn't say its my favorite necessarily, but Martin definitely is hilarious. :nthat:

Anyone know where I can catch re-runs of Martin? Haven't seen it on any channels I have for years.

But I was just thinking about it the other day. Something made me randomly remember the running joke about how nobody ever knew what Tommy's job was.

Fresh Prince reruns forever on my DVR. ABC Family :smokin

I actually looked for em a while back. I guess this fake BET channel called TV One has em. I don't get it, so...

edit: I've been mistaken.

MTV2 at 11:00 PM EST. Monday through Friday. They run them in order too. Many laughs have been had re-watching. I always stop at the Christmas episode when Martin gives up his Jordans. The rest of the series never happened in my book.

George Costanza is definitely a boss. He was a short, cubby, horseshoe hair style rocking boy but still got decent wimmenz.

God damn.

300 sequel was worth it for her alone.

I'm dead serious pissed they didn't sex her up in Bond. She looked so plain Jane to me in that movie, I had no idea.

She is stunning. :smh:
