Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

Saw Mad Max friday was a dope film but why was it rated R

You didn't see all those bodies they dropped? It was that heavy on the gore but I did see a guy's rib cage and
a pregnant woman run over by a monster truck

Sure it wasn't graphic but come on it earned its R.

Mad Max was everything in an action movie that I wanted to see that both Avengers films was not. The best action flick I've seen in a long time. I don't think I've seen an actor with presence on the screen in Hardy, since Brando was he was young. Not that their acting skills are similar but just their on screen presence. Just wow. Simply put Avengers AoU is really bad home made oatmeal & Mad Max is Ruth's Chris.

My son went to a bday party for Pitch Perfect 2... Was low key racist. Was actually disappointed they had to keep making the jokes they did. Not that I get riled easily but they kept perpetuating very bad stereo types...

WOW MAD MAX.

GEORGE MILLER YOU ARE A GOD AMONGST MEN, ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL.

TOM HARDY IN PHYSICAL ROLES WITH MINIMAL LINES IS ALWAYS GOAT BUT WOW THIS IS JUST SO MUCH BETTER THAN ANYTHING IVE SEEN RECENTLY.

CHARLIZE THERON WAS EVERYTHING, LOVED THE FEMINIST THEME RUNNING THROUGHOUT.

THE CINEMATOGRAPHY WAS OUTSTANDING, WOW.

WHEN I SAW JUNKIE XL WAS ON THE SCORE I KNEW WHAT TO EXPECT AND IT DELIVERED.

16/8.

That guy's face getting ripped off was pretty nasty. Plus the weird, creepy imagery and character designs probably put the film to an R rating.

Thats the only thing I saw that could give it that rating when someone got ran over the camera kinda panned out to me it wasnt graphic at all (didnt needed to be) to me it could have easily be PG 13 hell they were ripping of heads in the Twilight series

Several times throughout, Mad Max leaned on that exact same Shutter Island horn that sounds when 'Teddy' and Chuck first get to the island at the start of the movie

I'm such a dummy. She died earlier this year. I saw a post on FB that came on my timeline that someone commented on & when I read the it, I didn't see the date... Sorry...

Still, though, she was great. I haven't seen as many of her films as other classic actresses like Katharine Hepburn, Audrey, etc., I did like her a lot in The Big Sleep

Mad Max... some of the most well-constructed action sequences I've seen in a long time.

Like someone said the movie just goes. No exposition. And it was awesome. It's a weird world but they don't feel the need to explain everything; they just let it be.

Some times it's better that way. Let people enjoy what's in front of them, take in the world as it is. No need for the 'why' when the only thing that matter is the 'what,' in this case a crazy post apocalyptic world where people have gone insane. Miller truly has an imagination greater than most.

And, just cause it was brought up, I thoroughly enjoyed the blind guitarist.
