Oh I'm sorry, Did I Break Your Conversation........Well Allow Me A Movie Thread by S&T

I understand the gravity of the story being told in Million Dollar Baby.

Why it's a movie is beyond me.

So I'm finally getting around to the prev season of The Walking Dead

a few minutes into S5E1..... holy ****, I don't want the zombie apocalypse that turns the human population in to cannibals no more man

if the world is going to end, give me the Kevin Costner Water World apocalypse.

at least in that apocalypse, the world is on the verge of ending because there are bad guys chasing you across the planet on jet skis instead, and that could be fun.

Saw that was on just now and chose The Heartbreak Kid instead. No desire to watch Cinderella Man again but I can definitely see why it's a movie.

Edit: misread Million Dollar Baby for Cinderella Man, same applies though

Not quite.

This is the GOAT boxing movie, imo.

Rocky is a close second though

^When De Niro thinks his wife is cheating on him with his brother & goes over to Pesci's house & just starts beating the **** out of him

"... gimme me a stage, where this bull here can rage" :pimp:

Yea raging bull is the GOAT, but you only need to each that movie once.. It's a rough ride

Rocky is more rewatchable and 'lighter'.. Hell 1-4 are must watches

I remember liking Million Dollar Baby. The It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia parody episode is amazing. That final scene.

Maybe some of you already knew this, but I just read that Daniel Craig says that SPECTRE is his last Bond movie. While I don't think its necessarily to inject some new blood into the franchise, whoever replaces him has some big shoes to fill. He was very good in the role. 2nd best behind Connery, IMO, but I wouldn't have a problem with people putting Craig 1.

People were talking about a recent interview he had where he said he'd break a glass and slash his wrists before wanting to do another Bond film and he'd only do another one for the money. I haven't searched for the interview yet so I don't know if he said it in a joking way or he really is sick of playing the character.

Agreed. While "Raging Bull" is a masterpiece, it's not a movie I can watch often like Rocky 1-4.

My favorite Rocky movie is definitely Rocky 4.

Cinderella Man >>>>>>>>>> Rocky

No.

Daniel Craig is still in contract to make one more bond film. He's just tired of making them. Guess the physical role is taking its toll.

Btw, DC is easily the best bond. Much prefer a rugged bond that actually gets beat up over the spy w/ the goofy gadgets from previous years.

they make a Bond movie once every like 8 years tho

sack up Daniel.... always knew dudes from Chester were soft
