Air Jordan VI "Oreo" Appreciation

i cut grass in these ..i caught a 2nd pair for 119 and went a 20 off coupon at FNL 2nd pair been worn 2x...gonna bring em out this summer to hoop in 
 
I ordered mine release day with the quickness (was on a hiatus for shoes after my son was born). To my surprise, these sat, the speckles didnt bother me much. The 6s are my all time favorite so they were a no brainer for me. Appreciated.

So I saw a guy had em on CL today for two bills, I hit him up and he's like okay yeah, 200 bucks. So I say alright I'm on my way. He instantly hits me back like sorry someone's coming for them. Wtf! That's messed up to do to someone! So I was all pissed and just said **** it and went on eBay and ordered a pair for 225$ all pissed. only because I was so close to coppin them. I had to.
 
My bro has these DS and I just tried them on recently I have been trying to get him to sell these to me for a good price...great shoe!!!
 
Last month I was talking to a CL seller on the phone trying to buy or trade for these. He said he wanted some squadron 13s, I was thinking, "man, I don't have those.", as I was about to tell him, I was walking in to a footlocker and there they were sitting there. Last pair, his size. Now that's a cool story.
 
I copped these at the outlet.. And never wore em..

About a year later I traded them to an acquaintance..

For two bottles of veuve clicquot and fat forty of that loud kusherton..

I had new girls coming to kick it that weekend..

But yea.. I didn't pay retail for these then..

And I wouldn't pay retail now.. Solid cw nonetheless..
 
got them on sale for 116 I belief way past RD still have the receipt from FTL too, wish it was still that easy to cop
 
these the piston  and laker 6 colorways all got marked down....the citrus 9's ..2010 was a markdown year for sure....alot of **** i copped for 119 or 99 bucks...i remember the dmp 7 pack was on clearance for 179 in june 2010 at footlocker swooped in and aint looked back since lol

i know i was lucky enough enough to get the dmp 7 on sale i remember clearly i got home, sold the pack, called FTL had them hold my size went back and used the extra money to get me the laker 6. Never got around to the pistons the patent leather was something i could never get over :smh:
 
Regret selling my pair... :smh:

I remember when everyone was bashing them when they first came out because of the speckles. Now you can't find them for less than $300 For a DS pair. After the Concords came out seems like every Jordan Retro and Nike went up in resale value. Guess that's why ppl do this type of thing without thinking

damn i grabbed these for $90 from ndc but ended up selling them about a year later. I really liked this simple custom this guy did and had thoughts of trying it out myself but opted not to. not sure i made the right choice :frown:

Overall good retro. Not many complained about glue, over painting,
paint chipping. Quality was on point! As for the comment from ninjahood
its not Durabuck.
 
it always happens with these plus colorways

no one likes them and they used to sit

this shoe is only 3 years old

but if this colorway came out today it still might not be a first day sell out but the oreo's would move a lot quicker then it did in 2010
if there can be a line up for a swede black 10 that released last year i can see people lining up for this colorway in 2013

They weren't deadstock, I wore them like two times. I put them on craiglist in January and but the people that asked about either offered way low or flaked out. So I put them on the bay expecting to get about $120.00 out of them I was suprised that I got $188 for them.
 
What's funny is I saw these in the outlets for $99. Didn't like them when they dropped because I didn't like the speckles. Was iffy when I saw them in the outlets, so I didn't do it. Wish I would have gone ahead and gotten them.
 
if you're looking out for these now i'm pretty sure they ran .5 big so keep that in mind. i went with 11.5 as opposed to my normal 12 and they were perfect......til i sold em:x
 
smh why couldnt jb use these same type of materials for the oreo v...joints look ashy
