Look to be a bit on the narrow side again...I by no means have wide feet but over the last year I've been using the Gel Kayano 17s and now the 18s and the first Eclipse feels way more narrow in comparison.  Was hoping they'd widen that toe box a little but in that pic they appear pretty identical the the first ones.

Interesting. I felt the OGs were wide in the toe area. I didn't try the 2s on, but they did look more narrower...

The more I look at their lateral side, the more I'm tempted to get them... I foresee myself speckling the midsole Black.

), but they'll be going back because of the VOLT DF strap/post (

). The Volt stands out too much, and it really bothers me. If they blended in with the color of the tongue (i.e. Black), I'd keep them. Plus, I still have still two OG Eclipses!

Brief Review:
- Fit: True to Size
- 2s are narrower than the 1s
- Midfoot fit more locked down with the 2s
- Heel felt more loose than the 1s
- Same FitSole 4 insole (cushy in the forefoot/supportive toward the heel)
- DF strap/post makes direct contact with your feet (feels a bit foamy)
- Seem to be slightly lighter than the 1s

Aesthetics:
-Same midsole/outsole (no translucent hits on the 2s)
- Reflective Swooshes
- Predominantly Diamond Mesh on Upper
- Traditional Mesh on the Tongue
- VOLT Midfoot Straps are a site for sore eyes! (

How I rank them WITHOUT QUESTION.

The 2s are NOT worth it (retail at least), IMO. If they launch some nicer cws that do not have a VOLT DF midpost, I'll reconsider, but, as of now, I'll gladly stick with my OGs. In fact, I'm looking to triple up on them, and/or search for a few other cws...

Nice write up, Ray. And I feel you on the OG 1....its an instant classic! I actually like the volt strap aesthetically, but prefer the Flywire of the 1st one over the 2's inner strap.

I am so on the fence with these. I tried them and I noticed they run much narrow. If you look down at the shoe, the 2 is much less shapely of a shoe; think of the 1 like a voluptuous chick with mad curves....and the 2 as skinny girl with no shape (LOL). I almost pulled the trigger on the blk/red but held back.

For now, I am holding off. Maybe some newer spring colorways may get me, but I am staying on the sidelines on these initial 5 colorways...

NDC had them but they are sold out.  These need to go on id badly...or they need to release more white-based colorways.  Wonder if there will be a shield version of these?

Saw new colorway on NDC today.  Not sure if it is really sold out or hasn't actually been available for purchase yet.

Just copped the yellow cw yesterday from ndc. Green cw need to release. Been on ndc for a while now.
