That video is ridiculous. If you're ordering shoes online, waiting is just part of the game. If you need em earlier, do will call. Don't screw with the driver.

UPS my choice doesn't really speed anything up, it gives you a bit of flexibility to designate a 2 hour window for delivery but they're not going to upgrade ground to next day air or anything.
The one thing I don't like about my choice is that you have to be a paid member now to get them to do holiday delivery suspension. I head out of town a lot and hate leaving packages rotting on my doorstep, so it's come in handy, but when you're not a paid member it's something like 5 dollars per package if you hold delivery for a few days.

Package tracker pro is a free one, but it'll only let you track packages it won't interact with the system if you need to do holds or anything like that.

i agree, you cant wait another couple of hours or a day? It's good to know if you are really heading OT and are expecting something that you need for your trip, but besides that its childish.

Sure it does. Hold for will call and you can pick them up when UPS opens and be back home by the time you arrange and travel to a meet up with the UPS driver.

I'm sorry I misunderstood what you were implying in the first post. This is all dependent on the hours your local sort site keeps for will call. I'd be screwed if I did that because my local sort is only open during really short time windows and the regional sort is on the other side of the metro area making it a trek not worth my time to shave a few hours off of my package pickup.
What I thought you were saying is that my choice is some magic option that will speed up the trip from start to finish.

Well Im In A Unique Position To Answer This. I Actually Work As A Dispatcher For UPS, So If You Call The 800 Number With A Request To Meet The Driver It Comes To Me As A Electronic Request. We Get The "Im Leaving Town Etc" All The Time. That Said The Drivers Generally Are Fine Meeting Up As That's One Less Stop For Them, But Don't Make Them Wait! They Have As Many As 250 Other Houses To Hit daily
