Bruce Lee vs Anderson Silva

lol I don't think wanting proof of Bruce Lee in a sanctioned fight is too much to ask for. Did he invent martial arts styles=Yes Is he the most dangerous fighter that has ever lived most likely not....that is the type of claim that has to be proven in the Octagon not by mere hear-say. Anyone can make up stories about fighting a 100 thugs on rooftops.

I can't believe we're comparing a man who fights for a living and actually has to defend the right to call himself a champion to someone who wrote books and made movies.

I'm not too informed about MMA and martial arts and who's the best right now, but some of you are making Bruce Lee out to be some kind of invulnerable superhero. The dude was a beast of a fighter, but he was still human and susceptible to error and off days. Anyone can beat anyone else on a lucky day. If you think Anderson Silva would get his *@@ whooped by Bruce Lee, then you're not thinking right. There's going to be a day where Bruce wins and there's going to be a day where Silva wins.

But, the people saying Bruce Lee in this thread are making Silva sound like a chump and the people saying Silva would win are making Bruce Lee sound like a scrub.

Probably the best and most neutral answer in the thread. There are a lot of what ifs, at the end of the day how fighters prove themselves is by stepping in the ring.

at this thread and Jackie Chan being brought up in comparison to Bruce because Jackie did some Kung Fu as well.  That's like saying, "hey, Terrell Owens played some Bball before, i'm sure he's just as good as Michael Jordan."  If you don't know the difference between the two, then i'm not even gonna waste my time.

bruce lee wasnt just an actor, he had the brains and the skill power to be a pioneer to what MMA is today.

with much respect to bruce, anderson silva has more than enough advantages for the fight to be on his side.

In order to be the best, you have to challenge and beat the best. I always assumed that's how it worked, not making movies and writing books.

size matters, hate to break it to you. bruce lee was a tiny man.
