In one word: superb.
I only have a few Asics to compare to (hanon Colorado 85, Gemini and teal dragon) but they're the best of those. The suede is absurdly awesome on the toe box

like @drprince89 said it's wonderful. suede is definitely better than the sages/rg's. just as good as the suede on my gemini's as well.
build construction is a different story however.
i've seen pairs on the net that are flawless and some that have major build issues such as glue stains and such. personally my pair came with a few glue stains around the heel, but I ain't trippin because the shoe as a whole is really impressive in hand.

the koyos that released in the US did not have the special box? looking at some now and im skeptical because it is in a regular box. not sure cause i've only seen them with the box with the leaves on it.
