I'm about 3 or 4 episodes into season 3 and now I just feel like I could watch another 12 episodes of season 2. It was just so interesting with the stevedores and "The Greek."

Season 2 is second or third best. If you didn't appreciate it, you need some education. The way it opened up to the larger scale of things, how can u hate that. Yeah, not enough hood ish but that was the point

I've watched the entire series 4 times.
Once every year from 2008 to 2012.
I haven't seen it since but the analysis on the last few pages has made me consider watching it for the 5th time soon
I wanna watch it all straight but I don't have the time for that now. Probably closer to the summer.

Slim Charles is my dude. One of my favorite characters on the show. His only weakness as an enforcer was finding good soldiers. When Marlo took control of the Co-Op and offered Slim Charles the chance to control the drug supply in East Baltimore he declined. He had respect, was loyal and stayed true to the game. Word to the Sunday morning truce.
Went from Chief enforcer to Avon Barksdale #2 man then from working with Prop Joe to supply the rest of the Barksdale crew then became Prop Joe's lieutenant to being head of the New Day Co-Op with Fat face Rick.

^^^ Slim Charles was that *****, and imo so was Prop Joe. Supplying the whole east Baltimore from the jump, while laying low with the repair store alibi. Prop is one of the most underrated characters imo on the street level in the whole series.

Finally got around to copping the DVD series set a few weeks ago (since a blu-ray is no where near being made )
Been watching the whole series lately, and I do have a different appreciation for season 2. It threw me off at first viewing, but now I see why they went to the docks that season
Along with moments like Omar/Bodie's death, I think one of the more tragic scenes is the last montage of the series where you see Dookie shooting up on the path to becoming the new Bubbles

This show is best in this format. I love the gritty feeling it provides.
I can't help but laugh at prop. Joe when he was rocking the socks and sandals when talking to Vondas. It just looked funny to me.
