I mean, I figured Bodie was gonna get got, you're right, he didn't like working for Marlo, I just wished he would have got with Micheal and Omar and rode on Marlow..and I wouldn't have for him either cuz Is way to cut throat, Chris and Snoop weren't just hitmen they were serial killers, like Snoop loves that ish and Chris...well idk. Micheal can be a kingpin, he got heart and smarts. He's the perfect mix of Stringer x Avon. Dookie cool also. If they got another season I would want it to follow them, maybe Dookie gets strung out. I mean, Micheal shooting Bodie wouldn't change the story, but would be cool. I want them to win so bad...I got 7 episodes left...I hope that win...and Mcnulty. That's my boy.

the beauty of it is that many don't even consider Omar a villain. there's very little that's black and white about the characters of the wire, except probably marlo and snoop, they're pretty much straight evil. but that's something else entirely. glad to see someone enjoying the show for the first time, i'm definitely looking forward to your reactions to the end

Yea. I'm glad I watch it now. No hype but that sense of nostalgia when I tell folks I'm watching it for the first time. Everytime people eyes light up, they ask me where's I'm at and hit me with the 'just wait' lol. I'm glad I'm watching it now, I was in hs in its og run, I wouldn't have understood half of the show.

It's a trip, watching Mcnulty set up a serial killer then the newspaper dude does the same thing. Paul Schriver just made an appearance.

Great show, great writing. Season 4 dragged a litte to me, them corner boys were slight annoying, but I see how everything was set up. Then I understand the season 2 hate, it had almost nothing to do with the story, but it did set a lot up. That's great writhing, every moment if this show was preordained, they aren't reaching,they never scramble for story lines, they make you care about every character. I'm impressed, and taking notes.

Micheal the Stick up boy is to dope and what happens to Marlow back on the block. Weebay and Chris at the end...COME THE F ON!!! That wouldn be a dope storyline. Glad bubs got his family back.

Now that it's over, Season 2 was kind of throw away, only one significant thing happened that season and it was meeting the Greek, otherwise it was pretty useless.

"How my hair look Mike" - Snoop is right up there with "Take the gun, leave the canoli" - Clamenza.

Welp...back to Breaking Bad...btw, I started this series after I was about half way through Breaking Bad...stopped in the middle of an episode and am just going back now...I'm calling this a better series.

An actor who portrayed gang member Slim Charles in the HBO series, “The Wire,” was beaten and stabbed inside a nightclub in northwest Washington, D.C., early Sunday.

Anwan Glover, who has also starred in the HBO series, “Treme,” and in the 2013 movie, "12 Years a Slave," was assaulted inside Café Asia at 1720 I Street, Northwest. Police said he suffered a severe laceration and a bruise during the altercation.

Glover told police he was on the second floor of the club when he was punched by two men and fell to the floor. He said he was kicked several times before hearing someone shout, “He has a knife,” and felt a sharp pain on his right side.

He was taken to George Washington Hospital where he received treatment. He was released from the hospital on Sunday.

Police are still investigating the incident for details and any witnesses.

Was actually thinking of the wire yesterday because I'm going through my first run of the sopranos and feel that the sopranos probably inspired a lot of the hbo crime dramas.

Also was just thinking of how even though it was almost necessary for the show and a cool different take, that season 2 was probably the worst one.

Still up there with game of thrones for me as the best show ever. It's just too damn smart of a show.

The political aspect of the show was amazing

Also seems you kinda missed the part where I said I liked S2 a lot but hey I guess selective quoting can do that when you want to be ignorant in replies.

What I'm saying is ppl who claim that S2 was important and integral to the story later on are lying profusely. It wasn't. All that connected in the end was that Prop Joe's connect was The Greek. A character we got to learn not much about. The connect for Prop Joe in the final season could've been any new shadowy supplier that ends up working with Marlo. Other than that we get a cameo from Nick and that's about it.

What I kept wondering about when I started watching the show was what was so bad about S2 since I liked S1 so much. Pppl kept saying keep watching like S2 was horrible. I actually liked the thematic change. Thought it was smart and the writing got stronger to cover the Sobotokas and the whole corruption on the docks. Everybody kept tacking on that S2 ties back in to the end for things to come full circle. It did not. I actually looked forward to how it'd all tie together with Marlo, these kids, the detectives on the detail, etc and simply did not. It's basically a bull **** thing ppl who really liked S2 say so ppl new to it remain open minded and to fend against those who hate S2 instead of actually praising the good things about S2 that made it good.

So yeah what I said isn't disputed at all and doesn't change. You could literally watch S1 and go to S2 and not miss a beat other than more time passing in-between the two.

You saying it's the most important season is a flat out lie.

BTW any season dealing heavy with the politics is the most important season (S3/S4). Those characters really had a parallel relationship with the police as well as the characters in the hood.
