Miami Heat
What's wrong with the Heat???
The Miami Heat look very confused on the floor. Nobody knows what there doing out there anymore. Shaq lost his balls from the divorce and just sits on thesideline looking depressed, we're trying to turn Ricky Davis into Reggie Miller, putting him out on the perimeter trying to hit 3s when his game is more DWade like driving to the hole and pulling up for 15ft jumpers - not good to have 2 players with similar playing styles, Dorrell Wright is starting
- not deserving and needs to play off the bench to be that change of pace and hustle guy,J Will needs to hang up the sneakers and call it quits - this guy is always injured with some *******t injury & why is he always pulling up for 3s whenthere is nobody under the basket and his ball distribution is as good as Marburys, & the only 2 out there that are playing some ball are Wade and Haslem.
The Heat are abusing Wade and frankly im tired of it. They have this dude doing everything - playing the PG position, so he brings up the ball which he getsfull court pressed about 75% of the time then he either creates his own shot, gets doubled and tripled teamed, when he drives to the hole he usual gets fouledhard, and he has to create shots for his teammates. The guy seems to be the only player out there for us. He plays PG, SG and sometime SF all at the same time.I'm just saying at the end of the year this guy will have nothing left in the tank. And you can tell he's tired because on defense he doesn't guardthe best player and he plays loose of defense coinciding open shots and not getting up on the offensive player.
Reality???
With all that said the Heat suck and are at the bottom of the Eastern Conference as I type this. Yea there is half the season to go and we can turn thisaround, but still if we some how miraculously have an outside chance to make the playoffs i want no part of it. There is no way we break into the top 5 or 6,which means if we do get in they we must face the Pistons and Celtics and that is going to be the 2nd year in a row that we get sweep in the playoffs.
Hope????
Missing the playoffs, the Heat are going to be in the Lottery. We are probably going to finish in the bottom 5 of the entire NBA giving us a good shot at thetop players in the upcoming draft. This draft should be loaded with young, promising talent that the Heat deeply need. Players like Beasley, Rose, Mayo,Gordon, Bayless, Hibbert, & Jordan. Anyone one of these players should be good for the Heat, but right now we need NEED over best prospect. We need a PG& SM and some depth at the C position to back up Shaq and hopefully take over we he hangs them up. Hopefully we come up with the pick that will lock upDerrick Rose 6-3 PG that this team desperately needs. Someone to get Shaq and Wade the ball.
Future????
Apart of Riley's master plan was trading Walker away and freeing up that big contract. Now with R Davis is an expiring contract, and along with J Willsexpiring contract, Mournings and a few other small expiring contracts the Heat will be a major player in this years free agent market. A free agent market thatconsist of S MARION, R ARTEST, G ARENAS, E BRAND, C MAGGETTE, & B DAVIS. The Heat should make a good run at S Marion, but if we miss out on him then AntawnJaminson is a player that we must land. Jaminson is the best fit for our team, unselfish, rebounds, hits the open jumper, has a post up game, and mostimportantly plays without the ball.
Championship????
So the Heat's lineup 2008-09 should look like:
Starting PG: Derrick ROSE 1st round pick
Pure PG that the Heat have been desperately needed
Backup PG: Chris QUINN
Solid backup PG, that can really shoot the ball; has range and a 3pter
Starting SG: Dwayne WADE
Has everything, except a 3pt shot, but it should be around sooner than later
Backup SG: Daequan COOK
Pure Shooter, that can hit it from anywhere on the floor
Starting SF: Shawn MARION F.A.
Perfect SF that can do everything on the floor, including guarding the best player on the floor, getting 10+ Rebs, and ability to score
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Starting SF: Antwan JAMINSON F.A.
Great offensive skills, ability to play with other All-Stars, 3pt range
Backup SF: Dorell WRIGHT
Rebounding Machine, Showing ability to hit a constant 17ft jump shot
Starting PF: Udonis HASLEM
Mr. Hustle, goes after and gets every rebound, constant 15ft jumpshot, becoming a clutch player
Backup PF: Joey DORSEY 2nd round pick
High energy guy to come off the bench, dirty work, block shooter
Starting C: Shaq O'NEAL
Not the same Shaq, but can still get you 15 & 10, but has to be more involved and stay out of foul trouble
Backup C: Mark BLOUNT
Spread the floor Center, can shoot inside the 3pt line, good change of pace from Shaq
