Houston Texans Pre-Season 2014 - NT Bowl 2.5...Battle For Roster Spots

Some people are just morons, it's same situation that happened last year in KC with Cassel.

As far as the team goes there comes a time when changes are necessary. Coaching is a huge part of the problem right now, along with some players who are under performing( namely Schaub and Reed ). I'm just so frustrated with this team because there's no way they should be 2-4. And I don't know what else you need to see from Kubiak, it's evident that he isn't getting the job done, two seasons of winning aren't enough to justify keeping him. Bob McNair should be getting plenty of heat, patience is nice to have and you don't want a revolving door of head coaches but Kubiak just isn't a good head coach. And I hate how ownership/management isn't proactive whatsoever, they wait until things become so bad to make a change ( i.e. hiring Wade or signing J.Jo)

And this is the perfect year to go and grab a QB who can keep your franchise in contention for the coming years.
Right, they should be 0-6 now.

Stick a fork in them, the Texans are done and its time to clean house. Kubiak had 7 years to make this work and he failed. The window to the Super Bowl is completely shut. As long as he's our coach we will never win.

Correction on the Manning injury. It's not a broken leg like it was originally reported, just a simple knee injury that'll still keep him out 6-8 weeks.

-______-

Welp, and another one...AJ Bouye placed on IR, forgot exactly what, but I think a hamstring injury. No wonder the radio has been mentioning Kerry Rhodes a lot.

And Manning is officially on IR, done for the season. Oooooooh boy.

I assumed he'd only be special teams, but though he'd get shuffled around cause of injuries...but I didn't see he himself getting injured. Swaringer, Ke'o, and Pleasant got the juice now

Jesus.. can't catch a break.. just heard about manning. :smh:

The Manning injury is very serious :frown: doctors mention it is worse long term that sort term though, but still, big loss.

They resigned DB Elbert Mack who the cut during preseason.

Oh, and linebacker Mike Mohamed was brought up to the main roster as well. I liked him during preseason, and thought he should have made it on the roster instead of Justin Tuggle.

Keenum and Yates have been sharing 1st team reps with Schaub out.

Please Gary, let Keenum play.

these injuries are going to reflect poorly on rick smith when the backups suck.

like i've said all along, we didn't get better going into this season, i just didn't see us getting this much worse.

offensively all we added was Nuk. o-line didn't get better, wade smith got one year older, newton gon newt.
defensively, we lost barwin and replaced him with mercilus. essentially the same guy so far. replaced quin with ed reed smh. our later round draft picks the last 2 years have been :x

Case Keenum officially the starter for Sunday. I'm actually giddy cause it's showing legit initiative.

And DJ Swearinger is starting for Danieal Manning. Not sure how I feel about that

I give Smith credit for Watt, Jackson, and Nuk. He's done pretty well with those high picks.

But in order to be a contending team you need to replenish talent in those later rounds. It just looks like the front office isn't putting in that work to find those hidden gems in the later rounds.

Just like a Lakers fan LTB

MMG can't forget about Joel Dreessen either. Red zone killa :pimp:

My boy Case Keenum.

Took classes with the guy at UH. One of the nicest guys I've met. Great weekend to be a cougar, UH and BYU Saturday and Texans/Keenum Sunday.

I'm ready.

i'm not expecting him to come light up the league. for every tom brady/drew brees taken in later rounds, there's a million John david Booty's. The only thing I'm excited about is that they're actually giving someone else a chance and trying something new to win. They're finally showing some initiative.

Good #7's :pimp:

Vick
Jeff Garcia
Big Ben
Elway

Bad #7's :smh: :x

J.P. Losman
Matt Leinart
Tavaris Jackson
Kyle Boller

Let's be great Keenum!

Whoa...can't believe Kube's is going with Keenum. Either...

1. He's setting Case up for faliure by starting him in the NFL's loudest stadium against the team with the most sacks. Just so he can tell the fans I told you so and go back to Schaub.
2. McNair has told him its Super Bowl or the unemployment line.

I personally think he's setting Case up, you name dude the starter on the Thursday of an away game. An away game against a top quality opponent in one of the top two toughest places to play in the league.
